HAKONE Setsugetsuka

The hot springs are amazing, i think it is the highlight of the hotel. The hotel is right outside of Gora Station, so it was super easy to get there (even carrying luggage). You can borrow traditional yukatas for free.

The traditional kaisaki meal and breakfast might not be for everyone's taste (although we went for the experience, we didn't quite love it)

It is an amazing ryokan, Japanese style hotel. The location is fantastic. As soon as we left the station in Gora, just walked straight 20m and were at the hotel entrance. The room was comfy and cozy. Also was the wooden onsen bath tub in it. We stayed at the 219 that I recomend because the garden behind it was special and breathtaking. The food offered, breakfast and dinner, were only in japanese style but very good. The Onsen is a unique and wonderful experience. It’s worth to pay more for that.

The evening meal was a cool experience and great value for money. And they give you the kimono to wear which is quite cool. Location is great you step off at the station and it’s a few steps away super convenient for doing Hakone loop

It’s a bit dated I was thinking it was much more traditional than it was for the price it does need a revamp and there needs to be a much better system for the private onsen you’re waiting ages

Hotel guestroom needs to be renovated.

It's a nice place to enjoy private Onsen and explore the surroundings. I love how they give you lots of food and the snacks provided during different time in the day. I like that it's well place, a few steps away from Gora station.

You can tell is an old building, but they try to keep it well. During dinner time, it felt a bit rush.
