Roundhouse Hotel Bournemouth

This place was the worst place I have ever stayed. There were two raids while I stayed there of people who clearly live here. A huge group of men always outside, when I walked out they were very intimidating. Saw men dealing drugs both inside and outside the place on multiple occasions. This isn't a hotel at all its a very scary place. Weed smoke was smelt in the room at all house of the night. Not sure who this place is staying open... The people who live on this road must live in fear!!!!! That's how bad I think this place is!!

Awful place felt unsafe . It stank and is run down. Rooms are tired. Facilities are basic. Didn't enjoy at all. Would tell people looking to stay at Bournemouth to stay clear if this terrible place. Far better hotels in the area. Bournemouth would be a better place without this hotel

Shocking Hotel looks and feels like downtown Bagdad, after passing through the herds of rough sleepers and filthy reception it dawned on us an immediate escape was needed, hotel has obviously being used to house the homeless, should no longer be listed and avoided at all costs it’s in a terrible state of disrepair…

Just tried ringing this hotel to book the rooftop suite, three phone calls charged at 13p a minute, each call just rang out for nearly 5 minutes before being cut off. A real shame as I used to stay at this place regularly, but if they can’t even be bothered to answer the phone and rip people off whilst doing so, then the decision to book a room there is simple. Not bloody likely! Sort yourselves out an absolute shambles!

Visited 29 Nov 2021 for a 5 day Tinsel and Turkey break. There was no heating in my room (I was given a stand alone heater), paint marks on the floor and a dirty carpet. There was cannabis being smoked on the 4th floor which apparently the Staff knew about and we were told a sock would be put over the smoke alarm so nothing went off. In the evening 2 "gentlemen" came into the premises for the evening show. We thought one was drunk as he fell off the chair more than once and tried to open the large glass doors. They were allowed in again after the Bar Staff being asked to get them to leave. Again, nothing was done. Also, a "lady" arrived for breakfast in dressing gown and slippers!!!! The so called Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve were exactly the same in the Restaurant except fore the face there was turkey and Christmas Pudding. No accompliments i.e. pigs in blankets, stuffing etc. We also had a frozen gateau one evening. This is not a Hotel I would recommend. I have tried to contact the owners with them saying it isn't one of theirs. It's on their website!! The was defun

We stayed at the Roundhouse with friends on a National Holiday Twixmas break. We did not find out where we would be staying until a couple of weeks before departure. Having read the reviews on here, we were really dreading our stay and hoping that it would be cancelled due to COVID restrictions. As it turned out, the hotel was lovely. Our room was spotlessly clean and had a big, comfortable bed. The food was excellent too and the staff worked really hard to ensure everyone had a pleasant experience. I would definitely return to the Roundhouse and thank the staff for all of their hard work.

Stayed here with National from the 27th December to 30th December 2021. In my opinion this is one of the better Britannia hotels. It was clean and comfortable. Food was a buffet style, help yourself. I usually struggle to sleep when I'm away but I slept quite well, There is noise from the main road but if the window is closed it wasn't overly noticeable from the 4th floor. Only one lift was working during our stay. I can't comment on the entertainment as we went out, but the group we were with said it was decent enough. Overall it was a comfortable stay and that's all you can really ask for.

Clean tidy, friendly attentive staff, hotel appears rather hot and could do with modernizeing, apart from that I honestly can't complain. Room was big, beds clean, comfortable, T.V was ok shower worked fine

Distinctly Average. Very dated but reasonable price and clean. Wouldn't return but can't complain about anything.
