Villas Sol Beach Resort

Guadalupe was our favorite person working the tables and bar. She was so personal and lively towards us. Definitely recommend coming here to visit!

Tracy, one of the staff was very helpful in recommending activities out and inside the resort. The charismatic energy of the staff added to our great experience here at Villas Sol.

Please note, my review of 5 stars is being left for the events coordinator, or DJ of 12/22/25's retro music night, Guadalupe. *This great review only applies to her.* She was a great employee. She was really friendly and encouraged us to get up and dance, and we had a great time. I really enjoyed my evening with her and my time in Costa Rica couldn't have ended on a better note. Otherwise, our room was poor quality (shower was not working and AC was out, among other things) and we had difficulty doing relevant things related to the resort, such as getting towels or accessing a taxi. But Guadalupe was great and I hope the resort treats her well.

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and staying at Villas Sol was amazing. The staff were excellent and so friendly. Everything was well maintained and clean. We felt very safe. Built into the side of the hill, the streets and stairs are steep, but they shuttles that drive around the property making it easy to access everything, even the beach. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a shuttle. The food was very good too.

Beautiful views. Comfortable room. Clean resort. Super friendly and helpful staff (Thank you Stanley, Esteban, Carlos, Sophia, and Dayana! You all are amazing!). Food was delicious and plentiful. Wish they offered cooking classes for the guests (the chimichurri, plantains, roasted vegetables, and all the beans were incredible). A visit to the spa is a must. Highly recommend the foot reflexology. Your feet and calves will feel incredibly loved and appreciated. Wish they offered more activities like aqua aerobics, morning beginners yoga, and crafts. Would be nice if they had a resort info binder in the room with resort info, spa info and pricing, activity info, excursion info and pricing, etc. Great resort!

We booked unit 66-3 through Air BnB. The location for sunsets is absolutely amazing! The unit itself was comfortable and the amenities are great. The entertainment staff, and in particular Guadalupe were the right balance of engaging for us. Guadeloupe would invite us to participate and always translated conversations to English so we would feel included in the activity (Bingo and Darts). The public areas here were lovely. One pool with a wet bar and plenty of seating in the sun and the shade. There is a small ‘hot tub’ on a different elevation than the wetbar pool that was just cooler than the air temp, perfect for sitting in and reading a book. The chairs at the pool could use cushions or something as I found them very uncomfortable- now, I spent a lot of time reading in them. There is a third pool at the hotel restaurant. It is a beautiful location with a nice pool. The food in the buffet was tasty. Especially the specialty items. We chose to do 2 days of all inclusive and 5 feeding ourselves. We walked to several restaurants and enjoyed the frequent shuttles for our return trips- those sunsets come at a price. The hills are steep!

The hotel is great. The best thing about it is the food and restaurant, it has such a nice view! Second time we stay and wont bw the last!

Beds were springy and rooms smelled musty. We stayed in the hotel section Friendly staff, delicious food, beautiful views.
