The hotel is somewhat distant from the center of Ubud, providing a tranquil retreat in the woods. However, the room facilities could use some improvement. For instance, the doors and windows are not properly sealed, allowing insects to enter. Additionally, the shower enclosure isn’t adequately sealed, leading to water leaking into the bathroom. The mattresses in the twin rooms are also a bit small, and the hairdryer emits a squeaky sound when in use. On the bright side, the hotel offers a delicious breakfast, a hot tub, and complimentary yoga sessions for guests.

Disappointing for the price — not 5-star quality We stayed at Hotel Aksira in Ubud and unfortunately it did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price and the claimed 5-star level. The hotel is small, and the villas and rooms feel worn out and poorly maintained. Many things look old and tired: the bathroom was literally falling apart, the towels were old, and the bed linen had stains and discoloration. Both the private villa pools and the main pool are not heated, and in the non-peak season they are honestly too cold to enjoy. Since there isn’t much else to do at the hotel, the pools should be comfortable and usable in any weather — but they’re not. Another issue: there are very few sun loungers by the pools. It’s unclear how this was planned, because there simply aren’t enough for guests. Breakfast is a separate disappointment — very limited, not tasty, and with almost no variety. It felt poor and not worth it. Also, the door locks still use old-fashioned keys with a heavy keychain. In a hotel at this price point, key cards should be standard by now. We understood we were coming to a jungle area, but basic comfort should still be provided. In my opinion, this hotel is not worth the money they charge. P.S. The views are beautiful — but that’s enough for one day. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel, and I wouldn’t come back.

Das Frühstück war Standard eines 3 Sterne Hotels mit durchaus älteren Möbeln.

Die gesamte Anlage gleicht eher einer Baustelle, alles ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Stühle im Essbereich durchgesessen, die Dächer sind undicht, werden teilweise während der Tageszeit repariet, ganze Wege sind gesperrt. Am Pool gibt es laute Klimaanalagen.... In den Zimmer sind die Fenster so undicht, dass ca. 1 cm umlaufend zwischen Glas und Rahmen platz ist, alle Moskitos kommen rein. Wir sind nach einer Nacht wieder ausgezogen, da meine Freundin eine strake Allergie auf das Stroh entwickelt hat, welches überall umherflog. Leider war das Management nicht hilfsbereit, die 2. Nacht zu ersetzen. Sehr schade, mir sind die bisher überwiegend guten Bewertungen nicht klar.
