Roami at St. Helene

The location on Chartres next to the old pharmacy in Nola and a short walk to Jackson square was the one good perk. The room was honestly a decent size too but walking up and down three flights of stairs with luggage was less than ideal.

Let’s see… the check in instructions were not exactly clear or correct, however was able to deduce that a check mark was meant to be a pound symbol. 7am remodeling or repairs in the room right near mine. So nothing like working until 3am, cleaning up and back to your room by 4:30 with a late call time on Friday thankfully only to get woken up 3 hours later without warning. Also not sure what happened with the construction but the outlet that had my fridge stopped working on Friday for a minute and the fridge started to defrost and leaked all over the floor soaking my bags and other items.

Wasn’t what we expected from the photos Very small so would not consider this an apartment as advertised Did not receive entry code until we arrived and had to call, so we stood outside for 15 minutes or more trying to get someone on the phone to get a code to enter the property. Floors were dirty definitely haven’t been vacuumed or swept

The location is excellent in the French Quarter. The apartment is nice and spacious and we really enjoyed the balcony! The bed was comfy and the air con worked great. We enjoyed the pool as well.

The noise was absolutely outrageous and it was a shame because we really loved the apartment. I understand this may not be within the property's control, but the noise from the street definitely affected our experience staying here. There were construction works going on across the street, and it was incredibly loud every day. Maybe we were unlucky to stay there while these works were being carried out, however, apart from this noise, the trash trucks make an outrageously loud noise at 5am every day. It was so hard to sleep through the noise they make.

Closeness to the French quarter

The location is great. But it was noisy. You can hear everything from the room next door even conversations. Boogers on the wall. Not very clean at all. Construction noise at 7am

Positives - great location. Easy to walk to everything Negative - bathroom has mold all over. Use bleach or something to properly clean.

Light did not work in the bathroom and sink plug was broken. We arrived after 10pm so couldn't advise management until the next day. They didn't reply. On the plus side it is near enough to Bourbon street but far enough not to be noisy.

Although the establishment was able to make some much needed fixing, it didn’t start off that way. We had flies, fruit flies, and food in our suite. It was very uncomfortable. When we said we’d leave and go elsewhere is when the staff came in and did what was needed. We received new bedding, but we had to clean up the dead flies ourselves. The floors weren’t swept or mopped. I’m willing to give the establishment another chance in hopes that what we experienced was just a one time thing, but customer service was great at assisting us for the most part.
