Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Birch Run-Frankenmuth, MI

We booked this hotel and were never notified that it was under construction. There was a terrible smell when you walked in the door, the door to our room had to be slammed, in order to shut and the inside security bolt did not work. The floors were filthy and there were stains all over the rugs. The furniture was coated with dust and the water in the bathroom sink only trickled out. The window curtains were ripped and dirty. There was also no continental breakfast each morning. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and could not believe how disappointing it was.

I highly recommend NOT staying here until they finish the remodel. The front desk staff was very nice and you could tell she was doing the best with what she had to work with at the time. First off is smells like gas inside the whole time especially in the lobby area. The construction is very much disruptive to the guest (they were literately in the way) all throughout the hallways and in the breakfast area. My comforter looked like they wash it and left it in a clothes basket for days and decided to put it on the bed. There were some stains on the curtains that looked like blood. There were stains on the ceilings. It is VERY outdated and some parts were crumbling along the walls. My party got two rooms in one room if you sat on the bottom edge of the bed the mattress literately popped up off the box spring. The continental breakfast looked sickly and cold. I wouldn't dare try it because the whole hotel felt unclean. The pool had kids in it way past the time they were not supposed to be in there with no adults supervising. The barrel burning outside next to it was giving toxic as hell!! This isn't cute and should be removed immediately!!!

Needs a major update. Fan in bathroom did not work in room 322 And pool is very small

The place was fairly clean, but in urgent need of maintenance.

In the bathroom somebody left their dirty shorts and my wife thought they were mine and the cleaning people never cleaned it we had something roll under the bed and lift up the side cover of the bed and no one's ever vacuumed her and these rooms were all supposed to be remodeled well I think Ray Charles remodeled them

Under construction

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. We left after 15 minutes of being there. Our room was not clean before we arrived, the sheets were slept in, there was more hair in the bathroom then on a salon floor. The girl at the front desk was absolutely awful and extremely ignorant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Needs work

The hotel was under construction the pool and the hot tub was closed. Our room smelled our bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was horrible. Would not go there again.
