Residency Hotels Astor Metropole

The only thing to like was that the room was big. On checking into our room, we had to call to have the toilet cleaned as it was dirty on the under side of the seat. When the cleaner arrived, he questioned where was it dirty. The toilet cistern takes more than 5 minutes to refill enough to flush again. The room key card had to be replaced. The linen was replaced after the first night and the replacement face washer was filthy on both sides from someone's makeup. The parking was in stackers and extremely difficult to get into if your car is of a decent size. If the motel's website had mentioned this, we wouldn't have booked it. The entry from the car park is dark and dingy. Bed was hard. Mirrors were filthy, as was the rug in the room.

For the same price pre covid but no foxtel. Disappointing. Understand no restaurant or room service but tv shouldn't be affected.

There was no hot water in the room and even after informing the reception it was not fixed

We booked this hotel because of the close proximity to the hospital. We found it to be adequate for our needs. The room was spacious, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and check in & out was hassle free. The continental breakfast was below average. There wasn’t a lot of options. The urn wasn’t hot, and we had to ask for hot water for our coffee. There were 3 jugs with the tiniest amount of juice in each. If you wanted any hot food, this needed to be ordered. Not very convenient if you’re in a hurry. The hotel itself was good but I would recommend eating breakfast at one of the cafes nearby. Overall we would stay here again.

Great location and a good price. Bed was a little hard. We had no hot water for Shower in our unit which we reported on a check out, the other two couples travelling with us had no hot water problems

Great for an overnight stay conveniently located near the city , nice Lobby old world charm

When checking in didn’t acknowledge wife at all. We are not in an Arabic country acknowledge the women. When taking payment to cover damage costs take a copy of card but don’t process it until needed. Was told it would take 7 days to get money back so made them cancel payment and got refund in 3 days. This should be looked into take payment straight away and then want you to wait 7 days not right.

The property was clean got clean towels each morning and staff were good
