Great service, ambiance, and history. Food in The Grand Dining Room was great as well.

This property should not be rated as a 4-star hotel. The only real positives are the location and the historical charm. The grounds are nice, and you can see the appeal of the property from a historical standpoint. Service was fine, but nothing about it elevated the experience. Everything else fell short. The mattresses are terrible. We switched rooms hoping it was a one-off issue, but both rooms had the same problem. Sleep quality was poor both nights. The breakfast buffet in the ballroom is overpriced and underwhelming. You are paying luxury hotel prices for food that feels closer to a basic chain hotel. It was not worth it. The pool situation was misleading. We were told it was heated. It was not. It was cold enough to be uncomfortable and not enjoyable. The most frustrating part was the room situation. We specifically booked Crane Cottage and were moved to a different cottage upon arrival because of a wedding. This was not communicated in advance. We booked only a few weeks ahead, so this did not feel like an unavoidable last-minute issue. It felt like a bait and switch. For the price point and 4-star rating, the experience does not match expectations. You are paying for history and location, not comfort, quality, or transparency.

Jamerson was wonderful—he helped us with our bags across multiple rooms and even took the time to share special bits of the hotel’s history, which made our stay feel extra memorable. Aria was also incredibly helpful in working to get us into a great room. We truly appreciated both of them!

Jamerson C was going to help us with our bags - but he did so much more to make our visit wonderful! He took our bags up and down with 3 room changes, helped us with dinner advise, met us at the main hotel and let us in to see the room where the Federal Reserve was started. He was kind, most helpful and a wonderful asset for this Jekyll Island Club Resort. Also Aria at the front desk was helpful for my daughter as well.

Always an amazing experience. I do wish more of the rooms were family style and could accommodate a few more, but we had an awesome room which was comfortable for three adults.

We had such a wonderful stay and can’t say enough good things about this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The accommodations were comfortable and thoughtfully done, and they truly made our stay feel special. We were celebrating my granddaughter’s 21st birthday, and the sabering and champagne experience was such a memorable touch—it made the celebration feel extra special. One of our favorite spots was the Pantry—perfect for a quick bite. Their tea with peach flavoring was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was spot on every morning. We also really enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and having beach chairs and umbrellas available on the beach was a huge bonus. We rented bikes and rode around the island multiple times, which was such a fun way to explore. We were also lucky enough to catch a small festival in the old district on Saturday—great music and such a fun atmosphere! Dining on the property was very reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise, and we loved just walking around and enjoying the beautiful grounds. Also, while not affiliated with the hotel, the dolphin cruise is absolutely worth it! We saw so many dolphins, and the captain was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging—it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We will definitely be back!

Our stay truly took us back to a "Gilded Age" type era. Highly recommend taking the trolly tour which gives a lot of history of the early 1900's on the island This should be a "bucket list" to experience the life of elegance once offered to the wealthy pioneers and industrialist of our country's history.

We went to this resort club to attend a family wedding. The resort grounds were beautiful and the outdoor locations for all of the wedding events for two days were great. The staff was very friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating. A special shout out to Scott who took care for providing golf cart transportation to the venues from assisting with baggage at check-in and check-out.

Amazing as always, the hotel is a wonderful place to unwind and relax. The rooms are lovely, the activities are varied and the amenities are that of every hotel plus horseback riding and access to multiple beaches in the area.
