Jekyll Island Club Resort

Hotel is in desperate need of maintenance and the staff needs training for a so called luxury resort. Food is way overpriced and the common areas need a very deep cleaning.

Fabulous trip and great experience at the hotel. Highly recommend staying here. The restaurants are great; the beds are comfortable, and the staff is out of this world.

Do yourself a favor and do not eat at this restaurant. They consider themselves upscale however, what notable chef would send out closed mussels to a table? What server would serve that type of inedible food? This place will! Also, the flourless chocolate cake resembled a very miniature Hersheys Bar. Go to Larry’s Sub Shop, that’s what we did after spending $275 on a dinner where we left hungry!

Mia was so informative. I learned so much about making candles and the differences between different types of candles. She is very talented with so many different things too. She had things well prepared and planned out.

The resort is rich in history and you can feel the architectural details that used to be. Our trip was acceptable, but the resort really struggled with the details. We spoke to a supervisor on the many areas they fell short and were not followed up with. Make sure you like steps! We stayed on the 4th floor and got our exercise in! Our room was 75 during the day with AC set at 68. It took until midnight before it caught up. Our bed was well past its life expectancy. Overall we felt it needs a refresh with management to bring it back to its old luster.

Nice but issues with 3 TV's. Hallway smelled bad, but they were trying to correct it with dehumidifier. The breakfast's were great with a nice selection. Overall our stay was pleasant.

It's a beautifully restored and taken care of, classically old building. Staff is friendly and helpful. Grounds are fabulous. If you have time, go to Driftwood Beach. It is like no beach you've ever visited.

The staff are top notch...respectful, knowledgeable, accommodating and engaging. The facilities are beautiful and in a beautiful location -- trees, water, trails, interior design and inside/outside areas of enjoyment. The bar options and the breakfast buffet were delicious and well prepared. Our room was renovated and beautifully appointed.

The resort fee did not include bikes rental, and bike rentals were for 2 hour minimum which was a waste for us. Also, some of the exterior facilities were in need of repair -- board walks and such are damaged and need of repair. Otherwise, most of the facilities are outstanding! Our room was beautiful and updates, well appointed.
