"Linda shelly wellys wedding x"

10.0

I came for a wedding .my room was clean and comfortable .no complaints .staff was very good throughout my stay ,i would definitely stay agsin . Food was good and fair priced My only thing that i wasnt happy with was the proce of the drinks ! I thought they were quite overpriced ! And i feel it put people of spending at the bar .They should do a price for doubles also .think the shorts were around £5 without a mixer ! Too much .

The property is beautiful to look at but the rooms are a different story. Uncomfortable bed that sank in the middle, curtains caked in dust, advertised as a shower room we had a bath with a shower head, dark gloomy rooms, lining round bath was coming away from the wall and house keeping staff shouting to each other in the morning while trying to sleep and running up and down creeky stairs. Everything just needs a complete update just felt very run downs and a bit grimy - overall was disappointed with the room.

Lovely old building in quiet setting surrounded by greenery. Noise echoes through floorboards, walls and adjacent stairwell. Loud noise from the water-pump whenever a tap is turned on in nearby rooms Risk of fire in these old buildings, but smoke detector was out of action with cap missing and wiring exposed Bathroom moderately clean Staff friendly but very young and inexperienced

Unique venue, special weekend but finding the bath blocked with other peoples hair was just disgusting, Tricky to find, even with Sat Nav. Sadky could not reccomend the restaurant, sent my meal back as it was cold.

Our room was cramped, under the eves of a roof. The bathroom was poor, tiny shower, noisy fan. Could hardly turn round. Felt like the servants quarters.

What an impressive building and the main circulation areas are lovely too. A real historic beauty. This however did not extend to room 8. The floor was slanted, this could be seen as character but the bed slanted with it and so a very uncomfortable night sleep was had. The bathroom is tiny and dated with no actual shower other than a hand held one from the bath taps. The tv was not working on arrival and so had to retune all channels in. Great Hotel - awful room!

"Did not feel safe and secure"

4.0

This hotel is dated but clean - we’ve stayed before and knew this. However, my main concern is security: We were given a replacement door key from a brown envelope and not specifically programmed for our room We were given a master code for the room safe Someone tried to open our door and fortunately we had the lock on - she said that is the second time she’d been allocated a room with someone already in it. If we hadn’t been sitting in the room we could have been cleaned out. I’ve emailed the General Manager - no reply. Emailed Accor - no reply
