This hotel has very poor service and hygiene .

A very nice old building, but needs decorating and heating needs improving. Friendly Staff, bar was not clean at all and service slow. WiFi was very poor.

We were staying for 2 nights for a wedding. Our room was clean and tidy. The decoration was a little tired but it didn't put us off too much. The bed was very comfortable which is very important to us. We had a problem in that the shower was only producing cold water but there was plenty of hot water for baths. Good WiFi coverage. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Only stayed one night room was nice and spacious clean tidy no complaints about the room. Would stop again but would want a upstairs room due to very old building the floor boards above were very squeaky and every little move from above was heard luckily there was only one person Ute room above if there had bee afamily would have ask to change room. Overall stay was very good.

Overall it was a lovely hotel with nice friendly staff....treated my partner to a afternoon tea which i must say was one of the nicest I have had and the gentleman who attended to us was very polite and very professional (well done)...we stayed in a ground floor east wing room with en suit which was very warm and cosy and the shower/bath was perfect with constant hot water. The only down side was the people above us playing load music at 6-30 in the morning untill we left at midday and with it being a old building the upstairs floor boards are very squeaky and when people are walking around it sounds like a herd of elephants running around...(no fault of the hotel). Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be returning in the near future.

A very nice looking hotel but let down by the bed . You could feel all the bed springs and it gave no support . I was glad to get up. The room was acceptable for what I paid but showing signs of looking tired . I would however try it again as the settings and building were perfect.

Only stayed for one night, didnt dine there as we were staying with my parents in Madeley, but was very happy with the room if I had any complaint it had no shower but a lovely hotel overall

Room was adequate. Bathroom needed a clean dusty and smear marks. Breakfast very expensive and had to wait a while to be seated.
