Great hotel, always great service, I stay here once a month with work and never have a bad experience. The staff are always really friendly and helpful

Had a great experience at the holiday inn, bar staff are friendly especially Kerry. Jake also pours a very nice pint of Guinness would definitely stay here again.

Had a great experience at Basildon Holiday Inn in October. The room itself could do with a little bit of upgrading, but the Staff were great, the hotel was spotless. Service was quick and faultless, a mention especially to Thayne, who made sure that we looked after at the bar and with our food. Friendly, warm and attentive.

holiday inn Basildon is a nice hotel, with lovely staff. Fairly modern decor and I’ve stayed here quite a bit with no issue. Sadly on one evening my van was broken into in the car park, which really begs the question as to why it’s open to the public. The staff were helpful in locating a camera close by and offering the footage to the police if they required it but sadly this can’t undo what’s been done already. If you’re a tradesmen I recommend you park as closely to the front as possible to avoid this happening to you, or find elsewhere , as sometimes it’s not worth risking your livelihood . For any other person staying , I can’t recommend the hotel enough, I’ve no hotel based complaints, just the unsecure car park…

Thayn was absolutely brilliant with our group which included many small children. Nothing was too much trouble from drinks, food and turning on the air con when the children became hot. Brilliant service.

I have to give a shout out to Thayn, we eat with a handful of kids at lunch time and we were concerned due to the rainy weather and having to keep the kids indoors. Thayn was so accommodating and understanding. I couldn’t fault his service. Great food, great service!

Lovely experience, always looked forward to dinnner time with great hospitality service shown from thayn who Is a laugh to be around and always makes the extra effort to make you feel welcome, top man!

Brilliant hotel , a very relaxed environment, Tharyn we met was polite ,welcoming . Would stay here again when in the area . Rooms are well kept and comfortable bed, better night's sleep than a premier inn. Local food restaurants in walking distance from the hotel

Great conference hotel. Good selection of food at lunch. Tharyn and the team were helpful, but not intrusive and ensured that we were looked after from breakfast, lunch, through to tea , coffee and evening meals . Bathroom could do with a refresh, but overall , good value for money.

I am writing this review solely due to the service provided by Thayn at the restaurant/coffee/bar area of the hotel. He was exceptional at customer support, offering suggestions as to food and drink options and also being so professional. I sat for hours near his work area and personally witnessed how he treated every customer he crossed paths with—it was simply exceptional as he approached everyone with a genuine desire to help and be kind.
