Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Lake Charles - Sulphur

The room in which we stayed in was very humid. Getting into bed I felt the sheets very moist. Also the room had a little bit of a funky smell to it. The service was outstanding, the people were very nice and the breakfast was pretty good. Over all not a bad place.

The property was decent but the real Rockstar was Jupiter and the other front desk staff. I have never had staff work so hard to make sure I was accommodated. There was an issue with cleanliness and she fix it and then some. The staff the next morning was equally friendly and accommodating.

All of the staff were extremely friendly- from check-in to the breakfast staff! It was a great experience. It is an older hotel but clean and in a quiet area right off the interstate. Full breakfast. Comfy beds. I would stay here again when passing through.

The breakfast was fine. The cost and location met our expectations.

Our room was cleaned during our stay. We arrived Thursday evening - came back to room late Friday and room had not been touched. Came back to room on Saturday evening and the room had not been cleaned. We thought it might be that one had to request to have room cleaned, but we weren't told that when checking in. At checkout I told the clerk that our room had not been cleaned in our two day stay and he said at times the computer will ask if you want room cleaned and maybe someone accidently answered 'no'. We'll know better next time.

Breakfast was great. Good variety, clean area, and food was good.

We stayed at this hotel by redeeming my Marriott points in full. A few days after we checked out, my credit card was charged for $60. I spoke with David, and although he told me to research the charge and get back to me, I never heard back from him. I called him back in 2 weeks, but a lady who answered my call was unable to help me at all. She assured me that she will have David call me back, but he is still ignoring me. I finally got the refund after disputing the charge with my bank, and the whole process took me more than 2 months. I will definitely not stay here again.

Easy fast check in. Front desk clerk was excellent

This was a stop over on a trip to Florida. Check in staff very courteous. Room was clean. Breakfast next morning had multiple options to accommodate most anyone’s palate. Overall it was a good stay. One thing to note, lobby restrooms were dirty.

The hotel is clean and comfy. The employees are polite and personable. Beds are comfortable. A negative attitude like be the tub which is slippery and not mat. The room needs a few pictures to make it more personal. Location and parking is good.
