"Pathetic customer service"

Do not stay here!! On the road for 11 hours, checked-in about 730 pm. We had made a reservation earlier that afternoon. After approximately 30 minutes, I called front desk about a dirty bathroom. Attendant stated that he had not “checked-in” any new guests in last 30-40 minutes, and that I must have been there from the previous day. He wanted to argue over this, and I said it was beside-the- point; we wanted bathroom cleaned. He stated there was no house”cleaning lady” available. My wife and I walked to front desk to request a room change. Same attendant stated there were no other rooms available (there were less than ten cars in parking lot). I asked for a room cleaning, and attendant rudely stated that no “ cleaning lady” was available to clean room after previous guest had left, and that “it’s not my problem.” I stated it IS your problem, as you are a representative of Hampton Inns. I asked why he would assign an uncleared room to a new guest. He again stated “ it’s the only room “available” and “ it’s not my problem.” I stated that I should call his boss about his lack of customer service, and attendant stated “ go ahead bitch, call my boss; it’s not my problem.” My wife and I promptly left that place. We immediately called Hilton/Hampton Inn Corp to report this pathetic experience, and to ensure we were not charged for the room.

"Pot smell "

Front desk person was some what rude telling me I should book thru them I don’t get the best rate with a third party Our rom was on the third floor opposite of the elevator!…we are abl but what about some one who is not?? There was only a couple cars on a Saturday night?? When got to the 3rd floor the pot smell was over the top😩…..the entire hall smelled ….luckily our room didn’t….it smelled the same every time we out Garbage was over flowing in most public trash cans We have used this hotel for years on our trips to our son’s home in Michigan but we won’t anymore

"Steep decline - AVOID!!"

I have been staying at this hotel on business for the past 3 years and I have noticed a steep and significant decline over that time period. As a loyal Hilton Diamond member I continually come back only to be disappointed again. My most recent stay will be my last - too many other solid options. Check in was efficient. I was told the WiFi was broken which was a bummer because I had planned to do some work that evening. To his credit, the front desk worker offered to cancel my room without penalty, but not wanting to fool with trying to find another hotel after dark, I decided to stay. The lobby was clean. That’s where that ended. The first floor hallway and stairwell was littered with debris. The door handle to the first floor stairwell is missing. My room had dirty floors, stained carpet and debris under the desk - including a plastic fork. The desktop was also dirty with greasy fingerprints on it. It was like it had not even been cleaned. Breakfast the next morning was not great and the topper was the juice machine. After dispensing, there were black “flakes” in my juice, like algae. Gross!! After that, I didn’t even want to trust the coffee. It’s so sad to see one of my favorite brand hotels operated in this state. I will not be back and would suggest you avoid.

"Avoid this Hampton"

Read the other reviews. I agree with the other ( negative) ones. This is not the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, but it is the worst Hampton, of many I’ve visited. There’s a reason it’s low priced. Halls and elevator hadn’t been vacuumed in some time. Wi-Fi still doesn’t work. I selected our room at e-checkin but another was assigned; was told the room I selected was not cleaned. Minimum towels and face cloths supplied, they did provide more on request. One of two provided door keys did not work. Bathtub has rust stains in the bottom that looked like water has stood there for some time. Shabby spackle job in the bathroom to repair near the tub. Staff not surly but hardly friendly. Breakfast was so poor we abandoned and went to Dennys. Instant oatmeal only and hot water was empty, the two hot items looked to be ancient so didn’t try. You could get any flavor tea you wanted as long as it was gree tea with pomegranate. Good points: good water pressure. Bathroom was pretty clean and did notice any mold. Beds were Hampton standard. A/C was not too loud though constant fan was disabled. TV was big and very good; Comcast business class. Fridge was not unusually noisy. We have reservations for the return Monday but will throw that $134 away (semi-flex cancel period already passed), and will stay in our preferred property in Mishiwaka. This place is clearly getting minimal investment and I’m surprised Hilton still lets them carry the name.

"Ignore the old good reviews, AWFUL"

Gold member, had to ask for water, no snacks available. Smell of chlorine was overwhelming. Keys did not work, had to go back downstairs to get reprogrammed. Room- dirty sock on floor, not enough towels for 2 people, no soap, bathroom tiles were loose, tub was stained. WiFi not available for our stay. Asked about their 100% guarantee that is posted everywhere and was told there was nothing they could do about it try and get in touch with the manager. Couldn't find a business card to give me. This hotel gives usually reliable Hampton Inns a terrible name.

The hotel staff were great but my room did not have a microwave or cups for coffee, etc. And the dispensers for soap etc. were empty. The staff did fix these problems but on a busy schedule i was hoping these things would be ready. The place is in need of minor fixes too around the toilet and restroom areas.

The first thing the desk clerk told me when I got there is that they had no soap!! Said their vendor didn't deliver it. That's ridiculous to me. Someone should have gone to the warehouse Clube to buy soap for their guests if that's the case. Then, I asked where the soda machine was and the clerk told me but also said it didn't work very well and if I lost my money in it, he would reimburse me. After that I noticed a mildew smell on the first floor. A friend told me he stayed here once and had to ask for a different room because of that. He said it was coming from the swimming pool. I was on the 3rd floor, so I figured that I can just ignore the smell. When I got in the elevator, there were loud thumping noises. It felt like the elevator was going to break. Honestly, I don't think I will ever stay here again because of all this. The soap issue really got to me. The clerk said all they could do was issue credits to guests for it and he wrote my name down but I still have not seen any kind of credit. I'm very disappointed with my stay here!

"Absolutely Horrible!"

I've stayed at Hilton Hotels exclusively for business for 10 years. I've spent hundreds of nights in hotels. This Hampton Inn is the absolute worst Hilton property I have every stayed in. I've been forced to sleep in an Econo Lodge that puts this place to shame. If this were my first experience with Hilton, it would be my last. Someone needs to take a serious look at the management of this facility. This is my first review of any hotel. It is so bad, I felt compelled to post a review.
