Moon Isle is set in a stunning beach location which is off the beaten track. Our bungalow room came with A/C and was well equipped. The food onsite was very good at a reasonable price with attentive staff on hand. We had a wonderful unforgettable time, thank you.

Perfect, quiet beachfront location run by friendly and welcoming family.

I love the location! It's right on the beach! And during the time we were there, the beach to the left and to the right from the hotel was deserted. There are only a few rooms at the hotel and guests would leave somewhere and at times it felt like we had our own private beach just for two of us! Also having breakfast and dining there is so great, because again your doing it right on the beach, so the scenery and the sounds of waves are perfect. I live how they have us so many different traditional Sri-Lankan side dishes to our order. The bungalows are located far from the main road, so you only hear the sound of waves and nothing else. Very nice owners and staff - they helped us with luggage both during check-in and check-out and did it out of genuine hospitality, not like most places in the world where they help you with luggage and stay there wait for tips. Really great place, very romantic, I hope we'll be able to come back to Sri-Lanka again and stay at these Bungalows!

Nothing to dislike!

Moon Isle beach was the perfect place to stay at the end of our trip in Sri Lanka. The room was very good and clean and also it is just in front of the beach, you can't literally ask for better. The breakfast is amazing and also the owner Amanda is very kind. If you go to Nilaveli/Trincomalee, you must come here!

Food

It was disappointing. If I mention the positive aspects, I would say that the food was good. We stayed in the cabana and the photos are clearly much nicer than the reality. The mosquito net was torn and dirty, the bathroom was very outdated and not pleasant at all, and we could only take one hot shower. We had no water, and while Amanda did the necessary to fix the problem, we only had cold water. I would say that 108 USD per night, it feels like being ripped off—the value for money is really excessive. EDIT -Two weeks later, I see that you're still upset about my comment regarding your establishment. I hope you're able to sleep at night despite this, especially since it’s clearly making you aggressive. Behind your seemingly friendly, even silly appearance, hides a truly deceitful person—far worse than I imagined. You claim that if we had expressed our disappointment, you would have changed our room: False. You told us upon arrival that you had poorly managed your bookings, accepting more reservations than available rooms, and that you had to give your personal room to guests for this reason. You accuse me of stealing, yet you gave us an invoice in rupees instead of dollars, which was my reference on Booking. You made a mistake with the amount and texted me on WhatsApp. I responded immediately, telling you the name of the hotel I was staying and you sent someone to whom we handed the money. I regret paying you because you didn’t deserve that money. Now you're trying to scam us again by attempting to charge us a second time, You’re worse than a petty thief and a dishonest person. You should be ashamed to be in the hotel business with your decrepit bungalows. You'd be better off doing some renovations rather than wasting time writing aggressive comments. When I read your responses to negative reviews, it’s clear you're just silly, and that makes you nasty.

The "secluded" location, diving, food; all amazing!
