Hotel Silver Spring

It was in walking distance if many restaurants and shops. We saw a concert at the Filmore and it was a very short walk. The cost for the area is a deal! The bed and room were comfortable.

Staff was very nice and the whole building was clean not just the lobby. Unfortunately the only microwave was in the lobby for 14 floors of rooms. Also had to pay for coffee in the lobby.

We stopped at the hotel for 2 nights as we were attending a gig at the filmore in the middle of a longer trip around the states. This hotel is literally 2 minutes over the road - you couldn’t be in a more convenient spot. We caught a cab from union station in DC and it took approximately 20 minutes so it is also well located to see the city too. Down the street are a few places to eat & drink - the Outback Steakhouse which is pretty recognisable. We also found a beaut of a restaurant in the street behind - the Copper Canyon Grill, highly recommended. Overall we didn’t spend too much time at the hotel and didn’t use the facilities but our rooms were clean and comfy and everyone we met at the hotel were helpful and friendly - we really enjoyed our stay and we’d certainly consider it again as a cheaper way to see the city.
