Delta Hotels by Marriott Newcastle Gateshead

Travelling from Scotland it was so easy to leave the A1 and within a few minutes we were at the Hotel. Booked a room with two queen sized beds so loads of room. Very clean and 5 minutes walk to the Metro Centre. Hotel has a bar and grill. Food was good and reasonably priced. I would definitely go there again if I was visiting Newcastle.

great hotel as perfect area as 5 mins walking to MetroCentre also Pizza Hut and McDonald’s 2 mins walk away from hotel.. Health Club is great too.. will come back hotel next time.

Purchased a weekend break for my daughter and son in law and it spoiled as the hotel was booked by a large party attending a boxing tournament who ran riot throughout the weekend causing problems in the leisure areas causing the pool to be closed and a shortage of glasses in the bar area due to theft the bar staff said and playing loud music in rooms at night and children playing in lifts.so check with the hotel before you book to make sure that there isn’t any large groups attending any events in the locality .

We stay here most years for a short break, it is very conveniently located just off the A1 right next to the metro centre with good transport links. Also handy for restaurants, bars and nightlife in Newcastle. The hotel is always clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, there is also a restaurant and swimming pool on site.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Delta. Our room was spacious and our kids enjoyed using the pool. Breakfast was good. We will come back if we are in the area

Every time we stay we have a great time. Can’t fault anything. Staff are superb

Amazing value for money, great staff and good amenities. Only gripe I had was we didn’t receive any room service throughout our stay which was a shame but access to the leisure centre was good! AC didn’t work either so can get quite stuffy at night The hotel is a 10/15 drive from the centre but honestly didn’t phase us as we got one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in.

Enjoyed , nice and clean.. no complaints

Of the 2 lifts only one was working. The call time for the lift was on average 5 mins. The room in-house phone did not work, the sink was cracked. The welcome notice was for the wrong person. The room was not fully cleaned in that empty bottles and used glasses were left in the room. On a positive note the staff were friendly and polite and the hotel location was ideal for shopping.
