Fingal - A Luxury Floating Hotel

This hotel was amazing, very luxurious. Food was outstanding. Very attentive staff. Highly recommend for a special occasion

We loved it! Our room was perfect, portholes for windows, the furnishings were stylish and comfortable, the bed was lofty and wide. The meals in the Lighthouse Dining Room were the best we’ve had on this trip. The dining room is adjacent to an outdoor deck furnished for lounging. The staff/crew was top notch as well. Everyone was incredibly helpful and cheerful.

3rd time here and unfortunately not a great experience this time. Having to ask to be served drinks, having to ask for the room to be made up, a stuffy room with noisy air conditioning… Felt completely overpriced and definitely not a 5 star experience. Sat outdoors both evenings and whilst the new seating is a great addition, the timber handrail and painted railings are looking tired

A high quality hotel in the harbour at Leith, Edinburgh. We stayed for 2 nights in August to visit the Fringe, Tattoo and see Oasis at Murrayfield. At the end of each day Fingal was a welcome sanctuary. The breakfast was first class. The bedding and bed was so very comfortable. Throughout our staff the staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient.

This is our second time staying aboard the Fingal while visiting Edinburgh. In our opinion, nothing can compare to the luxury and quality of service that we have experienced. Every amenity provided is impeccable. The “crew” are the best . . . professional. . . courteous . . . and engaging. If you are traveling to Edinburgh, you MUST experience the Fingal.

From the time we booked the Fingal we were being looked after with communications prior to our stay. When we arrived the greeting was friendly and attentive, this was carried on throughout our stay. The bed was amazing, probably the most comfortable hotel bed we ever slept in. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant staff were knowledgeable and efficient, along with amazing food. If you want to go into Edinburgh the tram stop is just along from the ship, Britannia is only a 10 minute walk away, bonus being the complimentary tickets. It was good to explore the ship, see the engine room, also the engineers log books up on the bridge along with the history of the ship. We will definitely be back.

I had an amazing evening at Fingal Edinburgh with a friend. From start to finish, the service was impeccable. Alex and Andy were professional, attentive, and ensured our glasses were never empty. The food was excellent: we enjoyed mackerel, crab, lemon sole, and a perfectly cooked surf and turf, followed by a refreshing passion fruit and peach sorbet. The wines, chosen and paired beautifully, complemented each course perfectly. After dinner, we relaxed in the comfortable lounge chairs before heading home. Despite it being a busy night in the city, the receptionist kindly arranged a taxi for us. A truly memorable dining experience with exceptional food, wine, and hospitality.

Nothing a problem to excellent staff. Small issue with air con quickly resolved . Rooms food fantastic making for a memorable stay . Will definitely return for another visit.

We had a lovely night's stay at the Fingal. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Great bathroom too. The breakfast was fabulous although I'd eaten too much the day before so couldn't eat as many options unfortunately! I hadn't realised that we had free tickets to the Royal Yacht which is 5 minutes away. All in all a great couple of days
