Fingal - A Luxury Floating Hotel

We had a great stay - service was consistently good, food and drink were excellent, and I was impressed with the quality of the fit-out of the boat

Amazing from start to finish a lovely treat. Short walk to team to city centre. Nice restaurants nearby. Couldn’t fault a thing.

Exceptional service in a unique and beautiful setting. The cabins are generous in size considering the setting and the fittings are to a very high standard. The staff were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. Wish we could have stayed more than one night.

We had a brilliant stay on the Fingal, the sister boat to the Britannia. The finish in all areas is very high specification and everywhere was immaculate. Our room was not huge but very well appointed, with an extremely comfortable double bed, desk, TV, hot drinks facilities and superb, powerful shower in a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was included and was also superb, offering choices between a full cooked option, healthy and everything in between. There is a lovely bar and restaurant, including outdoor deck, on the top level. The location is very good, a short walk from the centre of Leith, and not far from central Edinburgh. There is also a secure car park next to the hotel, which was a big plus. Staff were helpful, very smartly attired and charming.

The Fingal Hotel in Edinburgh Scotland was an excellent choice from the time my husband and I walked in. The Fingal Crew was amazing! We had a stunning breakfast and had dinner twice in the upscale restaurant in which they only use the finest ingredients. The Fingal crew was excellent in every aspect! I recommend this experience to anyone wanting something different. We will use this same floating hotel if visiting Edinburgh Scotland again!

Always a great stay on the Fingal, I hate having to write a great review as I don’t want to call to book and find out I can’t have a room as they are soooo busy with the great reviews, but ! Credit where it’s due the whole team deserve to be praised there is always someone in attendance on check in , it’s never a bother helping you to your room that is immaculately cleaned by the room team, the restaurant team are first class as is the food from the kitchen team,I love the engine room and always pay it a visit, it’s a secret gold nugget tucked away and I want it to stay that way . A former lighthouse tender to a floating hotel. Luxurious rooms, very comfortable beds, and top notch service made for a great experience. Karis in the restaurant was especially thoughtful and attentive. My only note for folks looking for a high end hotel in Edinburgh is that it is about a 12 minute uber ride from old town as it is located in Leith. However, it is less expensive than five star hotels in the center of town. I would absolutely stay here again.

Another wonderful stay at the Fingal. Beautiful cabin and fantastic service. Even managed to get some sun when we were there so we could sit out on the deck. Restaurant seems even better than last time we went with excellent food presented wonderfully. Fantastic experience

From the first greeting on arrival to our departure, we were given an exceptional service from all the staff. Fingal is simply luxurious. Bed and pillows amazingly comfortable, bathroom is delightful with fast flowing and hot water. Cocktails, dinner, breakfast - all delicious and so beautifully presented. Although Fingal does not sail away, just a one night made us feel as if we had had a longer break at sea. Wonderful experience

Such a wonderful and unique luxury hotel for the weekend. Everything was fabulous including breakfast and dinner at the Lighthouse restaurant. We loved it here and would highly recommend.
