Residence Inn Richmond Northwest

Great place to stay. spacious rooms, so far some of my favorite staff yet; I stay at hotels very frequently. Packages were safely delivered too. Not only was Matthew very kind and friendly I even felt a great vibe with him and other staff members. Would stay again!

The staff were so nice and accommodating! In particular Chris, Carter, and Mathew stood out as the most considerate. They offered us water and were very helpful when we needed an extra room key. They also chatted with me and my father about our trip to Virginia. We felt very welcome there and I look forward to staying at Marriott again on our next trip. We had an amazing stay!

I made this reservation by mistake. I wanted a 2 br/2 ba suite to travel with family, and needed to be close to the Westin. I meant to reserve at the Residence West End, but chose Northwest by accident. By the time I had realized my mistake it was too late to change, but it all worked out CONS of this property: it is way overdue for renovation. Though it is clean, many fixtures in the room were broken and non-functional. Did example, only one of the two bedside lamps in each room worked - and they both had broken covers. The place looks worse for the wear. PROS: The beds are comfortable. The free breakfast is excellent. But the best pro of all is the service level of the staff. Two in particular stand out - Seme, the breakfast attendant, and Matthew at the front desk, who I think is a manager. Matthew may be the single friendliest, most welcoming person I've ever encountered in 40 years of traveling in hotels. I'm very happy to see that the hotel is due for major renovations in the fall of 2025.

We had trouble with basic things like getting the sofa bed set up, a blanket, clean towels, and trash removal. We provided our own maid service. We were told several times that they were busy with sports teams. Not our problem. Bedside light not working, drapes torn. Shabby. Luke was one bright spot. My recommendation...stay are the Drury if you need a place in west Richmond, VA

Matthew was amazing and SO helpful. We had a reservation at another hotel that was canceled without us knowing after driving for hours, and he got us in to the hotel right away and made us feel so welcome! We can’t thank him enough for saving our vacation!

Cheryl, the front desk associate, was very helpful & friendly. The AGM- Matthew acquainted us with the restaurants in the area & the shuttle bus services provided by the conference. Everyday we returned from the conference he greeted us by name which made the experience personable.

We had a great experience from the time we checked in with Matthew and it continued with Cheryl. The room was clean, spacious and accommodating to our needs. It was quiet and the breakfast was good. This was a grear home away from home. We were comfortable. Two thumbs up!!!

The manager Matthew is very helpful and courteous. He is very knowledgeable and professional in every aspect of his job. The recommendations are on point. He is a great asset to the company. The manager Luke is also a great asset to the company. They both work so well together. Seme is a great hostess in the morning at breakfast. All 3 are examples of employees that need to be ambassadors for this Residence Inn. Whenever in Richmond again, we will definitely stay here. We will recommend this location to others. This is from the 3 guests. The breakfast is good. We felt safe at this location. The rooms were cleaned. But the Service with a Smile from Matthew, Luke, and Seme is what makes this stay so enjoyable. KUDOS to them all.
