Rooms are good value for money, very comfortable and staff very friendly. Quiet, relax beach with possibility to snorkel.

WiFi was not all the time available.

Intermittent power cuts which lasted for 30 seconds or so at a time throughout the stay and no hot running water for the first two nights are the only thing that prevent this from being a five star review. Given the power cuts did not last long and the weather was so good that it was okay not to have hot water, we were willing to accept it at the time. The staff were excellent, the food delicious, the views were stunning and the facilities in general were beautiful. The road has guards posted on it for additional security for anyone who may be concerned about safety. I would advise anyone staying here to bring water shoes for piece of mind, as the seabed here is stony. Also, the road down to the hotel is potholed - I don't believe this is any fault of the hotel, just wanting to give a heads up. Thanks again to Arturo, Armin, Javier, and Gloria for a wonderful stay.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel Casa Altamar war sehr schön. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das nette und aufmerksame Personal. Zudem bietet das Hotel eine exzellente Küche, die Preise sind jedoch relativ hoch (wie insgesamt im Hotel). Das Hotel ist eher klein und man kann dort hervorragend entspannen. Für verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten ist ein Mietwagen sehr zu empfehlen, ansonsten ist man auf das Taxi angewiesen. Das Hotel hat zwar einen Sandstrand, ins Wasser gelangt man jedoch am besten über den Hoteleigenen Steg. Wir würden eine Empfehlung aussprechen und auch gerne wieder kommen :)

Spacious room, good value for money for tulum. They provide a beach towel and you can use the beach beds. Very friendly staff. Since we had a car location was fine for us.

Warm water and wifi were not always working. Some parts of the bathroom needed maintenance (loose faucet). Road to the hotel is horrible with a lot of potholes

I cannot say enough about what a great experience this was. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is beautiful, quiet, not touristy, with great food, this is the place for you. The beach was amazing with glorious sunrises. My room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The staff were the absolute best! I was a solo traveler and felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed. I will definitely be back. The only thing I would change is I would stay longer!

Food was too expensive, really bad coffee. It would be great if they offered courtesy tea and coffee stations in the hotel

Angenehm familiäres Haus mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Wir hatten ein empfehlenswertes Zimmer im zweiten Stock mit schönem seitlichen Meerblick. Das Hotel verfügt über 10 Zimmer, jeweils zur Hälfte im Erdgeschoss und im zweiten Stock, dazwischen im ersten Stock das Restaurant mit schönem Balkon zum Strand hin. Aufgrund des Ausblicks würden wir die Zimmer im zweiten Stock vorziehen. Es gibt im Erdgeschoss und ersten Stock je ein Zimmer an der Strandseite mit direktem Meerblick, alle anderen Zimmer haben eine Blick auf den Pool und nach rechts zum Meer. Kostenloser Verleih von Schnorchelausrüstung und Kayaks. Neben Frühstück kann man im Restaurant auch zu Mittag und Abend essen. Ins Stadtzentrum fährt man mit Mietwagen (Parkplatz direkt vorm Haus) oder Taxi 15 Minuten. Ruhige Lage in einer Gegend mit eher kleinen Hotels und Unterkünften. Die nahegelegene Cenote Manati fanden wir im Vergleich zu anderen auf Yucatan besuchten Cenoten nicht attraktiv und im Nachhinein verzichtbar.
