"Not worth the price anymore"

This place has really gone downhill and needs a total overhaul. We planned a whole relaxing day at the spa. It wasn’t relaxing. A spa is supposed to be quiet and peaceful. The employees both in the massage area and the salon make way too much noise - talking in overly loud voice and laughing. The clientele also very loud. The spa pool was dirty- murky water, outdoor furniture was tattered and dirty. Ordered a glass of champagne by pool and it was dirty. We ate dinner at Sweetfire. Ordered the half chicken and it was swimming in gravy. Was also disappointed that the main bar only served charcuterie boards. Would’ve eaten some bar food if they had anything else. One redeeming aspect was Henrietta’s market. Coffee and breakfast was good. Overall the interiors are dark, outdated. I know the Hilton bought this place. Maybe it’ll get better. It’s still a beautiful setting but needs an overhaul and not worth the cost anymore. I won’t go back.

"Horrible serve."

Thoroughly disappointed in the resort. The service did not exist. My girlfriend hit her head on the cast-iron tables at the pool because the lounge chair was defective. They could not even provide ice for the lump on her head. The management is non-responsive, even after spending $1500 for the weekend.

"Relaxing Birthday Weekend Getaway"

Overall this is a beautiful resort property with great amenities. We were there for a birthday celebration weekend. The adult only pool has a great hill country view, the cabanas were great. Food was good and included a bottle of champaign. All in all, a fun day at the pool. The spa was also amazing. Our group took advantage of several spa services and basically spent the whole day relaxing at the spa and spa pool (again great hill country views). No regrets. Definitely would do again.

"Hope the move to Hilton brings excellence"

We stayed at La Cantera in SA for labor day weekend. It is one of the best hotels in SA, but a bit overpriced for what they offer. Their service is good, but the price value does not compensate choosing it again.
