"Not pleased "

I was expecting a little more out of the place. There were too many people just hanging outside the area. When I first arrived there was only one staff person assisting with check in and there were other clients needing assistance as well. The first room I was put in was a dead bug on the floor, the cover was off the air conditioning unit. I returned to the desk, the clerk put me in another room which was much better. On the next night I returned to my room only to be locked out, the key wasn’t working. I saw a large # of people outside waiting to be checked in. When I went to the desk, I had waited about 15 minutes already and then the clerk appeared from helping someone else while that long line was waiting. I only needed my key to be activated but I had to wait on the long line. Someone else came in, not sure if she was off duty or not but she started to help the clerk.

The room had roaches, the sheets and bathroom were not clean. On top of that they checked me into someone else's room.

"Run away!"

“Non smoking” room reeked of stagnant tobacco. Clientele looked down on their luck, young woman in next room was turning tricks half the night. Single pane windows let interstate noise in all night, as well as screaming and dogs barking in parking lot in middle of night.. Worst room I’ve had in 38 years. So, how do I get out of a situation like that with hotels.com? And I saw this was owned by Red Roof Inn. If so, they need to take some responsibility. There were stains on sheets and burn holes in bedspread. There were clean old towels, but no washcloths. On a good note, the refrigerator and microwave appeared new.

"Next time may be better, or will it?"

It has been awhile since my last visit, prior to renovations. New renovations and upgrades are very nice however, My 1st room had a broken refrigerator plug so it was not on, neither could I regulate the plug to make it fit into the socket. We received a new room though the Manager appeared over worked trying to do 5 different peoples job. Our new room had NO towels so I called and was told they would start washing some. Well, we never received those towels. One manager found an intruder and threatened to call police that evening. Disturbed during the early morning, it appears another manager found another intruder (or same)..RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO OUR ROOM. Prior to renovations, at least there was security patrolling the premises. I don't want to sound querulous but I prefer peaceful hotel stays with clean towels. Grateful for the rest I did get.

My stay was fine after we had to but down roach motels to get rid of the roaches that was infested in the room I stayed for about 2 months so I had to make it my home for the time I needed to be comfortable after this last week I paid up for the week one day I didn’t have to stay and I couldn’t get a refund on that last day for what ever reason I don’t know when I didn’t stay in the room that was the only problem I had and the guy that was extremely rude

In my opinion housekeeping should clean the rooms even when they are occupied. Management should check behind employees. I swept and mopped and found and trash under the fridge and under the microwave was dirty. That might help with the roaches. Some people are nasty. Other than that it was quiet and comfortable. I'd stay again if the roaches move away. I think other reviews over exaggerated on the roaches. But they do have some.
