Metro Apartments on Bank Place

I had a quick FIFO to Melbourne for work. The room was comfortable for over night, great location, with a tavern just down the street, and coffee shop on the corner, and the staff could not be more helpful. I would definitely go back.

My daughter and I stayed in a studio apartment on the first floor. In the corridor before entering our room and when we turned on the aircon in our room, you got a strong Indian food smell from the Indian restaurant. When I asked if there was another room they told me that they were 100% booked (which I believe as was Australia Day and the Australian Open was on) but also that the studio units were based on the lower floors, so this is quite a common occurrence for studio rooms. They also didn’t have a room available when we arrived at 2.15pm, but was a public holiday. Bed was comfortable but pillows needed updated as were hard. Despite this, the room was well priced, staff were friendly and helpful and it was in a quiet area in central Melbourne 😊

Hotel is in a great location in the heart of CBD with everything close by. Apartment rooms are very spacious with all the amenities you need. Noise from nearby nightclubs can be an issue for sleeping depending on room location.

Good location but a compact apartment was a shock noisy and loud from the street light directly outside window 2 people in the room was very difficult to move around. Housekeeping did not make out bed just pulled up even though we were told to not leave clothes on bed reception was very polite and helpful

Staff very friendly and helpful. Position of hotel perfect - we walked to everything including the Australian Open.

Very relaxing in a great location. The staff were great, I went on my own as had a lot of things to do in town and it was in a great location and suited what I needed. I was happy to have stayed there and would do so again.

Central location so perfect for exploring the CBD. Close to plenty of public transport. However they gave us ear plugs upon checking in because “it’s Saturday night in Melbourne”. It was noisy with the two bars/clubs right on the doorstep but might not be a problem on a week night. The compact room was indeed compact. Two people was pushing it. Staff were friendly :)
