Extended Stay America are crooks! Do not stay in this hotel! Our truck broke down in Michigan and we stayed at the Extended Stay America Ann Arbor University South at 3265 Boardwalk Dr. We chose this hotel because of the price and they accepted pets as we had Macki with us. We ended up having to extend our stay and this is what we were charged: July 17-$142.07 July 18-$142.07 July 19-$477.29 July 20-$207.56 When I called to tell them a mistake was made, I was told that the room rate for the studio room we were in was $477.29. I was not informed of nor did I agree to this room rate. The same room at the four hotels near that location ranged from $135-$157. I asked for a refund and they will not provide it and when I asked to speak to a general manager I was told I can't speak to one until next week. We're traveling for our annual volunteer work and were completely taken advantage of. The law states, "it is illegal to misrepresent the price of goods or take advantage of consumers to a grossly unfair degree." Please share this and get the word out about this horrible hotel chain. AND they didn't even offer coffee!

Did you ever live in a university dorm where folks were both interesting and chill? If that's your vibe, stay here. Other reviewers have said it's not the Ritz. And that's true. But it's not trying to be fancy. It's just totally solid, ya'll. Our family arrived bedraggled and unsettled, late on a weekend night, after our Airbnb disintegrated in a cloud of grime so bad it got an instant-refund. We were desperate to save all the new groceries we'd brought for a week's stay. The staff was calm, kind, and put us on hold for a minute because they were taking care of another guest's urgent needs. We respected that -- and appreciated the clean room assignment that night and the clean kitchen equipment we received the following morning. The foldout could have been slightly less uncomfortable, but that's how it goes. We loved the cheery greeting every time we passed the desk. All in all, this place saved our week. Thumbs up!

No frills hotel. Clean room. Kind of a musty smell

It doesn't seem like they clean the bathroomthere was a ton of mold/mildew around the nozzles. I have photos...

I was not aware that daily housekeeping is not available for stays less than 14 days. I had an uncomfortable conversation with the front desk when I asked about it - I was informed that "this is not the Ritz or the Four Seasons."

We've been a fan of ESA and stayed 12-15 nights in the last 8 month with several stays at this particular location. Our last stay was 2 weeks ago. We arrived at 4pm and were told they were full and out of kitchen supplies (you have to get them at the front desk). I expressed that the kitchen is our sole reason for using ESA and we were ready to make dinner. The manager returned from behind the desk with 2 plates, 2 forks, 1 fry pan and 2 coffee cups and two packs of dish soap. Nothing more, not even soap for the dishwasher (check out their website to see what items are supposed to be included). My wife checked again about an hour later and was told that they were short and there would be no more dishes. My wife threatened to leave, the manager told her that was fine but there was no refund. We stayed. I called customer relations within the 1st two hours there and was told I would get a call back within 48 hrs from someone. She requested a refund for us. The next morning my wife encountered the manager who rather than saying good morning or addressing the shortage said "I thought you were leaving". We went to Goodwill and purchased what we needed to get by on this stay. Our prior stay, in early March, we booked a handicap room as I was having surgery. The room we were assigned wasn't handicap and we protested. The manager moved us to another room. The stove and the oven didn't work. No matter how long it was on, no burner would get hot enough to burn your hand. The manager was most helpful, came in and fiddled with burners and knobs, she was able to get 1 burner so it would slowly cook an egg and offered to have it changed out the next day. Due to surgery, we opted to work with what we had, it wasn't perfect but we were workable. After 10 days of no call about our situation, I called today. Was told the cameras showed the manager giving my wife dishes (she did, see the small list above that we received). I was also told the manager said she told my wife that we could leave and be refunded, exactly opposite what happened. The manager lied, our case was closed and here we are. A full refund is what was offered (but not approved) on the phone call. That may be more than was necessary as we did stay...but we rented a room because of the kitchen and the kitchen ware that were advertised. No bowls, no cups, no knives, no toaster, no additional dish soap or dishwasher detergent, no spoons, no cooking pot, no spatula. We used to stay AirBnb but loved ESA. No more, at least not this one.

Extended Stay was very accommodating for myself and clients. I’m grateful for the flexibility and communication by this location’s general manager, Marquita! Other employees have also been very kind. Overall, my experience has been lovely.

I'm enjoying my stay here, it's an Awesome Place and have a friendly Staff!! Kita, the GM Is EVERYTHING PERIODT... Patient and Will Go Above and Beyond to help EVERYONE. She is a wonderful person inside & outside, I've seen this in my stay and would recommend this place to only those that appreciate real customer service ❤️

Building is a little tired. I tried to register my Marriott’s Reward number but front desk was not trained to do that. Overall staff were friendly.

I woke up in the morning of my stay and I am covered in big bites across my face and neck.
