Peninsula Boutique Hotel Port Douglas - Adults Only Haven

Very well thought out room very practical

The location was convenient and beach was across the road

The room was not ready at 3 so waited. The room was very dated, untidy & the floor was terrible you could not walk without shoes, as it felt slimy. I dropped something under the bed, I don’t think it had been cleaned for a long time the dust buildup was terrible. There are no fly screens and we had so many mozzies, but fans hard to regulate. I’m not keen on aircon all night, fresh sea air would have been lovely. The breakfast was included apparently but limited as there is a different menu for hotel guests or walk ins, walk ins get more to choose from. And the waitress constantly got side tracked. We left a day before we were supposed to I was getting annoyed with the standard for what I paid, just went elsewhere. I understand it’s the wet season and I have lived in the tropics before, so the room conditions can not be blamed on that . This was way too expensive for the standard.

Hotel is in a great location with the beach across the road, easy walking to restaurants and shops, plenty of car parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we had a few minor issues in our room. We also like that it is a small boutique property. And the breakfasts were very good.

We have stayed at this hotel previously and found that it wasn’t as clean or well maintained as last time, however there are new owners and managers this month who have plans to upgrade and return the hotel to its former level. We look forward to that happening.

Proximity to beach and Macrossan Street, complimentary breakfast was excellent. Adults only a plus at the pool. Friendly service.

Charming boutique hotel adjacent to 4 Mile Beach in Port Douglas . Excellent location if you are visiting the Great Barrier Reef or the Daintree Rainforest. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. High quality and spacious rooms provided . Quality of food at the hotel restaurant was really good.

This small hotel is in a beautiful part of Port D and we had a first floor room overlooking the 5 mile beach. We loved the room & balcony. The team at the Peninsula were wonderful from Checkin to Checkout. Pool area was very tranquil and really well serviced (..only issue for us was the pool seemed heated so not the quenching dip we hoped for but otherwise a lovely place to relax after day trips ) The breakfast options here are really good and the team of servers were always friendly. Highly recommend this place - would love to go back !!!
