The Rampant Horse Inn

The room was warm and clean, would have liked a mirror in the room. Bathroom was clean but a bit chilly in the morning

Room was functional. Room very clean but surrounding decor and furnishings could do with updating. Why so many signs and yellow tape. Locks need fixing. Doors need painting.

We were visiting Thursford and wanted to stay not far away so chose Rampant Horse. It was so good as it was a self contained flat. The Hayloft. All facilities were available. Clean and comfortable. Just so suitable for our requirements.

It was a pleasant night obviously it’s above a pub so there is noise but I stayed on a Wednesday night so the pub closes at ten. Friendly staff and the room very clean & warm. I had a shared toilet & shower but there were no issues with that, I would recommend people stay, I went for the races and had a good trip, thanks.

Clean room, cereal/milk, tea and coffee provided which was good. Noisy as it’s above a pub and noise lasted until 1.30pm, fine for me as I’m late to bed but wouldn’t suit everyone. Smelly drains. Price was very reasonable, had no problem picking up key etc.

Although stated in the small print after you pay the non refundable room ammount… Pub is open to 2AM at the weekend, loud noise expected… if you haven’t got an important engagement the next day ( like I had) and you can cope with a rave below your room, then this is fine. Otherwise bring ear defenders. Cleanliness and shared bathroom was good.

Arrived in the middle of football festivities but still dealt with professionally. Nothing fancy. The sort of accommodation you expect upstairs in a boozer. Excellent value for money given other options in the region. Would happily stay again (maybe without the football).

They provided cereal, milk and juice for breakfast in the room, which i wasnt expecting. A nice touch. The stairs to the room were very steep, not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties

The Rampant horse Had an absolutely fantastic 2 nights stay, staff brilliant the room was excellent and served all our needs. The locals were a lively bunch, and they came in all ages,and made us feel welcome from as soon as we arrived. The Pub was busy especially on Saturday night, as closing time is 2am,if your looking for a quiet weekend away then this aint the pub for you. If your looking for a good time in Fakenham this is your ideal base especially if your a sports fan,with ample car parking behind the property you canny go wrong. Tom Allan Stratford-upon-Avon

The Rampant Horse was clean, tidy and exactly what we wanted - no thrills low cost stay. Absolutely fine and basic accommodation.
