Red House By The River

Location location. Small breakfast eatery next door and two lunch/dinner options next door. Did not have to fight the crowds. Very quaint. Perfect!

Lack of paper towels and Kleenex.

Rosa was amazing.. very helpful and kind. The location was great.. on the river.. but away from the crowd. The gorgeous views from the room were amazing..We need to return to Porto!

The space is small with alot of stairs.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Porto! Perfect location, responsive host, amazing views of the river and Luis I bridge, good a/c, restaurants next door, very sound proof windows, even has a washing machine and dishwasher!

Bathroom facilities .. too tight even for European std.. bed not very comfortable.

Location opposite river is amazing. Very close to bridge to walk over to Gaia and restaurants and bars on Porto waterfront. Very pretty and comfortable apartment. Met by host Rosa who gave us some useful information and recommendations. Definitely worth booking this apartment.

The stairs up to apartment were an issue as we are not fit but otherwise a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location.

I booked it mainly for my parents, who I was showing around Porto for the first time. They LOVED it. My mum actually cried walking in. It is very charming, with an amazing view to the river/ bridge and a hidden gem of a small back garden which captures the sound of the falling water and birds. Just a short walk to the funicular and ribeira.

Not 100% certain but my mother and girlfriend both got a cough during the stay, I think it may have been from the AC in the bedroom, it might need a clean. But they could also have picked up a cold from elsewhere so I don’t want to say for definite it was the apartment! Something for the owner to look into.

Location was perfect and property was clean. Rosa was wonderful and met us at check-in and showed us around the apartment. She gave us recommendations for restaurants and offered to sell us tickets to the boat and a port tour/tasting, which offered a slight discount then if the tickets were purchased at the door.

The apartment is in a perfect location with incredible views of the river and Gaia. It's quite spacious and well equipped and the welcome from Rosa was very friendly and helpful. Overall a perfect place to explore Porto from

Be careful with any open food. We had an open packet of cookies and ants got in the bag.
