The Windsor Suites

Beware when booking this hotel. We booked several weeks in advance, and received a confirmation of our reservation. A few hours before we were due to check in, we received another “confirmation” email. We noted that in the “new confirmation” the room had been downgraded to a much smaller room with no price adjustment. I suspect they hoped we would not notice the change. After calling, they advised that the larger room type had been oversold. No apology, not offer to adjust the price. We asked how that could happen, and were advised that “we must have clicked on the reservation button seconds after someone else booked the last room”. We asked why they sent an email confirming the booking and only waited until today to tell us….. no answer. We asked about a price adjustment. Initial response was that they could offer free parking instead. Eventually they offered 25% discount, which as it turns out is still more expensive than the list price of the room we are in. Difficult to tell if this is just incompetent management or a systematic scam. Either way, beware.

I had an outstanding stay at The Windsor Suites in Philadelphia and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. I was in town for a conference at a nearby hotel that happened to be fully booked—and honestly, that worked out entirely in my favor. The Windsor Suites was better by a mile. From the moment I arrived, the staff set the tone. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure I had everything I needed. That level of service makes a real difference, and they delivered consistently throughout my stay. The room itself was a standout—spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. It felt more like a well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel room, which made it easy to relax and unwind after long days at the conference. The location was another big plus. It felt safe, was easy to navigate, and made getting around the city simple and stress-free. And having the Irish Pub downstairs was the perfect bonus—great atmosphere, convenient, and exactly what you want after a full day of meetings. All in all, this was a fantastic experience. I’m genuinely glad the other hotel was booked, because I wouldn’t have discovered this place otherwise. Highly recommend The Windsor Suites to anyone visiting Philadelphia.

Nice room, full kitchen, and huge closets! Perfect area to stay

Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to the many positive reviews and high rating. Ongoing construction in the lobby and mezzanine floor was a real drag. It was noisy and inconvenient. There were frequent long waits for an elevator because at least 1 was out-of-service or inaccessible almost every day. The bed in Room 1305 was broken upon check-in; took a day and a half to get it fixed. Both the mattress and pillows were exceedingly firm. Inconsistent housekeeping, particularly with respect to towels; we started with a full set at check-in, but never had it again during our stay, despite requests. In-room heating/cooling is limited to either only heat OR only cool based on the season, which makes it difficult to maintain a desired temperature. The layout in one of our rooms was nonsensical. It had *3* closets consuming a massive amount of square footage and a tiny, 1-person bathroom. Slow drain and flickering light in bathroom. The overall quality of both our rooms was subpar with inferior, amateur/handyman-level painting, tile grout, flooring, repairs, etc. They charge $75 for late checkout. And they double-charged me for it! (Still waiting to see if the final charges post correctly on my credit card.) On the plus side, I will say the front desk was responsive via text message. The follow-through wasn't always there, but at least it felt like someone was listening. Obviously, I'd recommend staying somewhere else -- and while you're at it, pick a place closer to the Rittenhouse part of town (on the south side of Market St.). You'll be much closer to most of the restaurants you'll want to go to for dinner.

Our stay has been super wonderful so far. Everyone who helped us, Steph, Noelia, I think his name was Justin or Jason or Michael, was absolutely wonderful. Renovations did not stop them from giving top-notch quality customer service. Super clean room, very accommodating.

I spent my 38th birthday at the Windsor Suites Philadelphia in a king suite, and the experience was absolutely amazing! The room was beautiful and comfortable, making my birthday feel extra special. The sky deck was truly breathtaking — the views alone made the stay worth it! What really stood out, though, was the incredible customer service. The front desk attendants were soooo sweet — especially Gia and Cat. Cat, in particular, was unforgettable and provided unmatched customer service. She went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion!

Great value. Rooms are spacious and clean. Plan to stay there in the future
