Days Inn by Wyndham Michaelwood M5

This hotel accommodation is 'tired' and needing refurbishment! It is basic to say the least. Net curtains in the room which were too long for the window and which hung on an expanding rail! Emulsioned walls in a rather drab green and basic desk/work surfaces. Brown water came out of the hot tap on initially turning it on which was disconcerting. Finally we had to a parking fee on registratiing at the hotel to park in their car park!!! No prior warning was given.

Beware the hidden £5 parking charge

Motorway services hotel, but actually tucked away in its own leafy green corner, our room was quiet with uninterrupted views of green fields, It’s a tired building, but the staff couldn’t do enough for you, the room was clean, and epic value for money

Really angry and stressed after paying for parking and receptionist saying he’s input info, only for me to get a parking fine from Parking Eye, unnecessary stress!!

Perfect stop over

Couldn't really fault it. Its obviously a budget hotel, however the room was clean and the bed was comfy. Hot water wasn't that hot in the bathroom though. But room has tea and coffee facilities. Reception has a microwave and toaster for use, plus extra tea coffee milk. And snacks and drinks available to buy (some alcoholic ones too). Reception staff were lovely.

Good location, quiet, eating options plentiful and close by.

Didn’t like the £5 parking charge as never had this before

Everything about the place was tired and run down. Happy to stay there for one night, but wouldn't use it as a base for a holiday. Staff pleasant and welcoming
