Great place to stay near convention centre, nice people , non-corporate, great accommodation options, comfortable common and F&B spaces

The hotel has an artsy, soul vibe infused with art and music. The room was so thoughtfully laid out and decorated. Staff were kind and professional. I will be back!

I have found my new go-to hotel in Washington, DC! I stumbled upon the Eaton DC sort of accidentally, looking around google maps for a hotel with a decent price and close location to the Convention Center, where I needed to be for work. It turned out to be an outstanding deal! My room had character, but in all the best ways (I felt more like I was in a small apartment than a generic hotel). It was clean and quiet, with a fabulous location, close to a metro stop and easy walking to both green space and restaurants. But the best part by far was the service: I was traveling with >250 pounds of stuff (swag and flyers for work) and was by myself with 4 heavy suitcases and a backpack. When I arrived in the Lyft and poked my head in the front door for help, the security guard hopped up to come out and help me unload the bags and bring them inside. Once I checked in, the Front Office Manager Von offered to come help me get settled, and helped me bring all my bags to my room, helped get the AC pumping (I was sweating from the stressful trip from the airport!), and even whisked me downstairs to make sure I would be able to get dinner, since the hotel restaurant was about to close. Throughout my stay everyone from the folks at security to the folks at the front desk greeted me with a smile and made me feel like a valued guest. Plus the hotel was obviously committed to social and environmental issues--a cherry on top for me! They were invested in promoting local artists and supporting diversity and inclusion at a time when that feels a bit hard to come by. I am telling all my friends to stay there, and it will be my first stop on my return trips to DC!

I've traveled to DC for work a number of times in the last year, and since my first time, Eaton has become my go-to. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about it. The lobby has such a great energy. Stylish, inviting, and full of character. It feels luxurious and laid-back at the same time. The rooms are amazing. I loved the music theme! Having a record player and vinyls right there made it feel personal, like staying at a friend’s cool apartment rather than a hotel. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference. The bed was super comfortable, everything was spotless, and it just felt cared for. I appreciated how connected the hotel was to DC’s arts and culture scene. It made the whole place feel rooted in the community that give it a sense of depth and authenticity you don’t often find in other hotels. The staff was amazing, especially Pete! Everyone was so kind and attentive. Whenever I needed something, they were quick to help. Eaton DC manages to be both beautiful and welcoming. It’s creative, comfortable, and full of personality. I’ll definitely be back every time I'm in DC!
