"Great stay in Pickering"

10.0

We visited at New Year for a mix of walking and relaxation. Pascal was an impeccable host. Breakfast was fabulous not least his famous sourdough. The bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom well stocked. We will stay again. Local recommendations for food and drink were well made.

Such a lovely, friendly B&B, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast - especially the home made sourdough bread. Very convenient to town centre and many North Yorkshire sights within 30 minutes aswell. Thank you Pascal, Sarah and boys. We will visit again 😀 Carol and Andrew from Devon

Breakfast was great and Pascal is very friendly . Lovely house but unfortunately we felt it could have been presented so much better, just sweeping front step adding some plants to the empty pots would have made it more inviting but overall we felt it needed a good clean.

"Best B&B in Pickering!!!"

10.0

If you want a wonderful home away from home, come and stay here. We are over from Australia and staying 5 days wish we could stay longer! First night on arrival we were greeted by Pascal who is a charming host, friendly and fantastic cook. He took us to our room and let us settle in, next thing he was back knocking on the door with a glass of bubbles and canopies. Each morning he cooks a hot breakfast for all guests! He even has a signature dish, he gets up early each morning to make sourdough bread for his guest’s breakfast. Room is amazing and spacious. All the little things like soap, body wash and shampoo provided! If you need anything Pascal is happy to help or provide. Bed was comfortable including the pillows! Pascal is very knowledgeable about the local area and all the restaurants he recommended didn’t disappoint, we tried Indian, Italian cuisine and of course we had fish and chips. Thank you Pascal and Sarah! Will be returning here on our next trip and certainly highly recommend this Beautiful B&B!

"Hidden gem B&B in Pickering"

10.0

What a little gem is Cawthorne House in Pickering. Cosy room and a delicious breakfast, cooked to order with the very best home baked sourdough bread we have ever enjoyed. Pickering has a good choice of eateries as well, which are all within easy walking distance.

"Wow! And Wow! This is the one, you found it :)"

10.0

Wow! And Wow! If you’re into great breakfasts, a warm welcome and comfy place to rest then look no further! We had 2 nights at Cawthorne House, adding the Sourdough course which Pascal runs and it was excellent. There are so many extra treats included along the way, I could not list them all. This comes from the very generous hosts Pascal and Sarah who literally did everything they could to make our stay special. Thank you. Pickering is a lovely village and on the steam train stop for Whitby - with good Gastro pubs all a short walk from the B&B. We had a fabulous dinner at the Black Swan – my husband had the Pork, which he said was amazing and their signature dish was the duck confit. Fish and chips, did not disappoint. We arrived in time for the monthly craft & artisan fayre – which if you’re a foodie, (like us) was excellent. Lots of local cheese, bread and honey etc and locally made crafts. We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again.
