Good breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. I liked the lean properly cooked bacon and mushrooms. The bathroom was clean and well lit and plenty of towels were provided.

There was no restaurant service in the evening. I phoned before I booked and asked what was provided and was told there was a 3 course carvery meal. When I arrived I was told that the restaurant was for coach parties only. Meals (basically pub food) were served in the bar which was not a well furnished and pleasant place and was rather rowdy. The hotel was shabby and needed a refurb from top to bottom. My room curtains did not meet (6 inch gap) and the double glazing units were blown out (misty). What is annoying is that this hotel is rated at 4 stars. It is nothing like any 4 star hotel at which I have stayed before. I passed over a cheaper 3 star hotel just down the road which did welcome me into their carvery and when I asked to look at a room for future reference was shown a really excellent fresh looking newly refurbed room. Much better altogether!

The breakfast was great. Good selection of English and continental. Very much worth the money. Located midlift town, easy to get around rest the island bus or motorbike The staff went out of the way to help me and my friend with an issue. We had with one of the motorbikes. Found the staff to be all wonderful people i was very happy with my visit

There's nothing I could say that didn't like about my stay at the Best Western in Douglas.
