Hampton Inn Metairie

WORST EXPERIENCE. Get here and they’re oversold. Takes 15min to determine they have a rollaway so we all have somewhere to sleep. Get to the room and the overhead light won’t come on bc the can is hanging half out. Get in the shower and it’s so gross that you couldn’t get a stream enough to have any water pressure and no conditioner. Add to all of this that the front desk person was extremely rude and indifferent. Book ANY WHERE ELSE!

Jilyani has been an excellent desk agent. She has kept me and my battle buddies well accommodated with excellent service and charisma. If I could I would definitely give her a promotion and a bonus.

The location was great for the Metairie parades and we walked over to Family Gras. It smelled clean and the breakfast was ok.

The staff I dealt with on check in was very unfriendly, she presented as if I was a bother. The beds were like laying on concrete. There was never any “hot” water, it was like warm at best for our whole stay. And when I asked about getting more towels/washcloths I was told I could only get 2. The housekeeping staff only made our beds and emptied trash when they “cleaned”. Carpets weren’t vacuumed and nothing was wiped down anywhere. We ran out of toilet paper and they didn’t restock it upon “cleaning”.

Location was great, parking was very good. Staff AWESOME.

Water wasn't always hot in the shower. Door to room was hard to open/close. Ice machine on our floor (3rd) did not work, and second floor ice machine was only working part of the time.

Good value and location. We go to visit family and enjoy the city, so access to !-10 and location near daughter's home is big, along with being a good value so we can go more often.

It's New Orleans, so everything is always going to be a little musky, maybe a little more moisture control inside with clean air freshener.
