"Beautiful and relaxing"

10.0

Captiva island is truly a Wonderful place to stay and have a relaxed time away from the business of life. Loved the quiet beach and the beautiful scenery. The spa offers great massages. We had an 80 minute hot stone couples massage and I followed that with a full manicure and pedicure. The staff is very friendly and the Crow’s Nest Restaurant, the food was super flavorful. We will come back again soon.

"Rustig gemoedelijk verblijf met veel fauna en flora"

Is 3 de maal dat we er gaan, prachtig locatie. Zeer proper en heel handige accomodaties àlles gemakkelijk te bereiken en te begrijpen.

Waren er in 2015 en 2016 vooral badkamers beginnen oud te worden. Weinig waterdruk op de kraan pompbak, douche in bad doch ook met weinig waterdruk, oude douche niet te regelen zelf temperatuur water is nagenoeg in elke stand dezelfde

Property is older than pictures show so there are some issues (patio door didn’t lock, some screens weren’t great, took a while for water to get hot, etc) but a nice place. Staff was great; maintenance was always cleaning the grounds, everyone’s friendly, etc. Free bikes and kayaks as often as you like, good restaurants. As long as you go in to knowing to not expect a very modern place, it’s all good. Would stay again

Only problem was a large group that several people complained about being so loud. Nothing was even done about them. The serenity pool not so much serenity

"A gem in the Islands."

8.0

This is our fourth stay at this resort. This is a beach front Old Florida motel style resort, that has kept the island’s laid back vibe and amenities despite been beaten hard for the latest tropical storms and hurricanes. Captiva -Sanibel is one of the best beaches in USA. Originally conceived as a bunch of beach front cottages in addition has several two story buildings with cozy rooms, all with balconies facing either the gulf, the bay or the pool. There are some restaurants including the iconic historic Old Captiva House, currently under renovation, snack bar and coffee place place by the pool. There is a nice pool with plenty of chairs, umbrellas and warm towels, and an adjacent serenity no children pool. The resort has Spa, gym and tennis courts. You can rent kayaks and bicycles. There is a full service marina at the property where you can rent boats for fishing or pleasure trips. You can rent umbrellas and chairs by the beach. $25 for an umbrella and two chairs. Our room was super clean, with coffee maker, mini fridge and bathroom a little bit dated but very clean, plenty of towels and toiletries, just what we needed. Cons: sand and gravel roads trough out the resort and parking spaces, while keeping the beach feeling can be muddy and messy when heavy rains, as it happen during our stay and our car was in a flooded area. No elevators in the buildings, is ok for me but could be a deterrent for older or disabled guests, however there is the option of renting a cottage. And the mattress in the room are a too firm. Nevertheless, none of that prevented us of having a great time. This is the third time staying in the beach front block, and the view of the magnificent gulf sunset from our balcony sipping our favorite drink is priceless. Will definitely keep coming.
