Allegro Cozumel All-Inclusive

Overall we were very impressed with this location for families with kids, while it is approximately 30 minutes south of town and the airport. It is beautifully maintained with large staff to accomodate spring break visitors. Meals were disappointing with the buffet food cold to moderately warm. items were rarely where you would expect them to be and took looking around to locate a bowl for cereal, a spoon or other items. Tables never had salkt and pepper and you had to request. MUltiple lines made it hectic to get what you wanted. The three specialty restaurants we only were able to get into the Italian twice and the Asian twice as the Mexican was always booked. The Asian was the best for us as the Chiefs intertainment in creating the meal was a bonus. We had booked the premium dive package which included rooms closer to the beach but that made a long walk back to the main restaurants/buffet. It also put us closer to the loud noise going on at the pool/beach area. The package included just one air tank per day per occupant in the room. We arrived on Saturday to find the dives for Sunday were fully booked. Not sure why we weren't reserved. We did manage two tank morning dives Monday, Tues and Friday. The Harbor Master closed the ports down on Tues and Weds due to winds and while the wind was the worst on Friday he opened the port and we got our last dives in (the business community has clout. The PADI 5 Star dive operator was a disappointment. As a dive shop owner my self with over 6100 logged dives I tend to be a bit critical. However not one dive did the divemaster brief include pointing out where the oxygen and first aid kits were. I inspected the oxygen kit on Friday and the mask was missing critical parts. Newbies and experienced divers put in the same groups and getting back on the boat in moderate seas was dangerous due to the type of ladder and insufficient hand holding rails/steps over ledges and Monday and Tues very little help from boat staff for aged divers. Most dives were 40-50 ft for 40-50 minutes. Rinse tubs and putting away dive gear was sufficiently enough. Wife (600+ logged dives) and I concurred that there are better outifts in Cozumel tor serious divers and sadly we would not go back to Allegro.

We have had such incredible experiences at Allegro Cozumel! Specifically, Brenda, the manager of guest services and event planning, is absolutely phenomenal. She went above and beyond to create the most beautiful and unforgettable wedding ceremony for us—every detail was thoughtfully handled and exceeded our expectations. What made it even more special is that when we returned the following year, Brenda remembered us and once again went out of her way to make our stay feel extra special. That level of care and personalization is rare and so appreciated. It is a great resort for kids and adults of all ages. The beach is stunning, the food is consistently good, and the service across the resort is excellent. There are so many hardworking staff members who clearly take pride in what they do, and it really shows in the overall experience. We can’t wait to come back again!

I had a really good time at allegro Cozumel. It was very nice and the staff were very nice to me. Diego was especially nice to me.

Super fun experience, beach was awesome as well as the pools. Diego and Arby were awesome with the events and pool games. Would definitely come back another time.

The resort is pretty nice for the price point. Our room was nice and very comfortable. Not very large, but you're hardly in it. Mini fridge and coffee maker. Bottle of wine and fruit plate upon arrival was a nice touch. The beach is beautiful and we had no problem getting lounge chairs at the beach (or one of the pools if we wanted), and we didn't have to do this at the crack of dawn. Food was plentiful, even though staff was sometimes slow to replenish the items we wanted, and the taste was mediocre for most items (not bad, but not super tasty). Not surprising for an all-inclusive. Our biggest complaint is the service at the buffets - you needed staff to serve beverages and it often took awhile at breakfast and dinner. Self serve water and plain drip coffee would have been nice (there are fancy self serve coffee machines). My husband is a vegetarian and he had very little protein, but lots of fruits and vegetables (cottage cheese and yogurt at breakfast, sometimes beans with lunch or dinner).

This is an amazing location for diving and beach enjoyment. The resort is beautiful and relaxing. The food the worst part of the trip. Good thing I didn’t go for the food!
