"Quiet and comfortable"

8.0

The floors were somewhat clean in the room. The outside security door didn't lock which was a little disconcerting. You did not need your key care to enter. Having said that I would stay here again. It was very quiet and the room overall was clean, the bed comfortable and it was in a pleasant setting.

"Staff was friendly, facility great location , price was reasonable however i would not stay again"

6.0

Room set up was wonderful however carpet and furnishings were worn dirty and needed replacing ( chair couch) pull out mattress was stained, windows broken, fridge seal hanging , toilet seal broken and sewer smell filled bathroom II requested to be moved to new room after first day and 2nd room was better but still worn dirty chair & couch and carpet. I guess you get what you pay for however that shouldn't be the case with such a nice set up. Raise prices and clean things up

"Not worthy of the Marriott name"

4.0

I am simply copying the email I sent to the property manager as my review. I removed some personal specific details and corrected a handful of typo's. The TownePlace Suites Denver Tech Center is not worth the price we paid to stay there for one night. My wife said it best when she called it a Motel 8 with a half assed attempt at a kitchen. I will attempt to sum up my experience in this email. No doubt I will miss a few of the details of what went into the poor quality of the stay. But these are things you need to know and things I plan to leave in my Google review. I will also be reaching out to Marriott corporate about these issues. We arrived at about 6pm on Friday, 1Sep23. We were greeted by Brandon at the front desk who was eager to help. It was also very clear that Brandon was new to the hospitality industry. While he was checking us in, I mentioned that when I completed the reservation, I had asked for crib service. To which he replied "For what?" as my wife was standing next to me holding our 1 yr old son. I also asked about the additional pillows and towels we had requested. He said he would check into it and get back to me. The first thing about the buildings we noticed was the solid green pool with the bike locks holding the gates closed and no sign. I specifically selected your hotel because of the pool and the crib services. The pool was clearly closed but nothing about "sorry for the inconvenience" or anything. Then, we noticed the exterior "security" doors. None of the ones we used closed on their own properly. I told Brandon about this and he told me there was a new maintenance guy who is supposed to fix them at some point. I took my wife and son to our room and began unpacking the bags we would need. The first thing my wife and I noticed was that there had clearly been former tenants with a cat in there as the corner of the couch looked like a well worn scratching post and there was a large round hole in the carpet about the size of a pie plate. The refrigerator had a large pool of water in the bottom drawers and there was a distinct funk in the air. This was room 129B. I complained to Brandon about this and he moved us across the hall to 130B. Thus, we began the process of relocation. The new room still suffered from the scratching post issue, but no hole in the carpet and no pond in the fridge. So, we stayed. When we were ready for bed, I had to go back over to the front desk to ask again about the crib, pillows and towels. Brandon handed me a bag with the towels, pillows and a couple of flat sheets for the pack and play as well as the pack and play. Points for the flat sheets. I took everything back to the room and when we set up the crib, it had caked on food all over the place. Clearly this has not been cleaned since the prior person used it. I would think in this day and age, the issues with this are clear? When I returned the pack and play to the front desk, I asked Brandon to have the manager call me and that my cell phone number was on my account. He called my room a few minutes later and told my wife the manager's name, not spelled correctly. We noticed the next morning that one of the two window locks did not work and being on the first floor, this is a serious safety issue. Had we noticed this the night prior, we would have moved again. The following morning when we got up to go to breakfast, more fun was had by all. We got to the "breakfast" and went looking for a high chair. Well, the chairs we found were covered in all sorts of gooey stuff and crumbs. Clearly, not cleaned in some time. I notified the front desk person and she said she would get somebody to clean them ASAP. She later came out with a napkin. I told her that whatever was on these seats she wasn't getting off with just a napkin. She took both high chairs to the kitchen area to clean them. The woman who was running the breakfast area proceeded to clean the high chairs. She told me "I've been working here well over 2 months now and I ain't never seen anybody use these chairs!" To that I responded "Well, that means these chairs have been this nasty for well over two months then?" After she cleaned the first chair and I took that, the woman there said "Guess I will clean the other while I am here!" I should certainly hope so! While we ate, the sausages were not cooked properly, the OJ was orange colored water and the only thing "good" about eating there was the price. These may all seem like minor things. Taken individually, I could let one or two slide. BUT, when I paid nearly $200 for a single night and all of these are there, this is not acceptable. When I told a relative about these issues and I told her this was a Marriott line of hotels her response was "From a Marriott?!?!?!?!" Which is part of my point. One does not expect these sorts of issues from a Marriott line of hotels. One can see them from a motel where we paid $65 for the night. But not from a hotel of what we expect to see at a Marriott. Overall, the staff were more than willing to help. While they may not have provided a quality response, I feel this is more a lack of resources and training for them than lack of willingness to do the right thing.

Room and property showed a lot of wear and tear. Smelled smoke in the room on arrival and best they could do was give a spray - I kept the windows open most of the time. Everything else suited my needs - it was quiet, area felt safe, and the bed was comfortable.

"Staff is the Best!"

Jen the manager was outstanding. Chad and Brandon as well. This was a difficult trip due to the circumstances surrounding our stay in Denver. The staff here went above and beyond to help and accommodate us with the changing nature of our stay.

"Marriott Aug trip"

4.0

The room was really dirty. We spilled a little water. 1 swipe on the carpet turned the towel black. The bedroom was connected to tge same wall the stairs were connected to. If someone walked on the srairs, it shook the bed, if a kid ran on the stairs it shook the room. Staff was nice, but the room was nasty and the microwave was broken.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and the room was spacious although outdated. The living room window was cracked and the TV in one of the bedrooms would randomly turn on so we unplugged it. The thermostat was broken so the AC was either on full blast and the room would be freezing or we had to shut it off completely and then get hot. We notified the front desk on Sunday and although we stayed until the following Sat, no one ever fixed it. Upon check in we were asked if we wanted housekeeping. We said yes but never received any. On Wed. we notified the front desk and they apologized and had someone clean the room that day and provided fresh towels. However, we never received housekeeping again even though we stayed 7 nights. We mentioned this at checkout and were told that we needed to request housekeeping every day we wanted it. That was not communicated to us at check in or on Wed. when we initially complained about it. I expected better from a Marriot. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet and the breakfasts were decent.
