Super place to stay

We loved our stay here! The room was a king room, clean and it felt quite updated. We only had an issue with the reception of the tv and called the desk. They sent up a team of two, one front desk and one maintenance. The maintenance man attempted to reset and we thought it might be fixed but still had issues. They need cable. The bus into Oxford city center is a one minute walk so very convenient. The staff were very professional and we would stay again.

Excellent hotel located on the outskirts of Oxford City Centre but with easy transport links. Very pleasant & helpful reception staff.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay here. We have stayed here in the past when the hotel was part of the puma collection and remember it being really nice. Upon arrival the hotel looked the same really impressive and lovely colour tones as you enter. The air freshener which is sprayed on repeat starts to smell sickly after a while. We booked a “superior room” which was far from superior and should have this label removed. You can only get in the shower with the door closed it was starting to show its age and wasn’t very clean. After having arrived in the evening this only came apparent in the morning which we decided to upgrade. We were over charged compared to the website but they refunded the difference. We shouldn’t have really been charged as the room provided wasn’t nice at all. However, the room we got given (366) in the newer block was really nice and no complaints here. For the difference in room type it was worth every penny. Not sure if the older block ones would meet this standard though. Breakfast nice enough. We didn’t have dinner here but Leo’s food looked nice. Hotel in some areas ok however needs some tlc in others.. Would we stay here again? Maybe depending on price but not right away. My advice would be ask for a new block room and always book executive. For the price difference you won’t regret it.

Amazing staff, they were so friendly, even though you could tell it was really busy. The actual hotel felt tired and our room (a family with two doubles) had a number of stains on the carpet, marks on the chair and obvious signs of water damage on the bottom of the bathroom door. But the air contioning was faultless and very much needed. Will definitely stay again (may try to find a cheaper deal...)

Breakfast was great especially the hospitality and the politeness of the staff Room Bath Room lay out was very poor as the transparent toilet/bath Room door make other family members disturbed when someone inside.Also its very close to the double bed quite different lay out from popular hotels so that ,its really disturbed our privacy when someone in the toilet

The bath room lay out need to be changed as the door of bath Room is transparent and quite near to bed..There was no lift to upstairs not good for a royal hotel. All other amenities such as gym pool etc good

Lovely 4 night stay at the Leonardo Royal. The room was spacious and bed really confortable. The room also had with a good selection of teas and coffees wuth flavoured water and snacks freely available in reception.

I would recommend the Hotel it was an excellent place to stay. The bedroom was comfortable the bathroom had good quality shower products. The Breakfast room had plenty of space between diners tables and a good choice of attractively displayed food. A member of the Reception staff offered to carry carried the luggage to our room which was appreciated as my husband uses a walking stick.
