I booked a double twin but was a single with 2 beds no drawer space Had to unpack from case on floor not enough hanging space totally catering for one person , I booked a room with a view was looking into a wall, moved to another room a little more drawer space, not enough plugs had to unplug light to boil kettle, one person had no plugs, so knew the room was a single, tried to use room service but no phone in room for emergency, All very unsatisfactory, my friend who was visiting from Denmark, first time in England was to say the least very disappointed , not a good recommendation as i have stayed at the hotel in the past, and in comparison with hotels in Spain I would say very poor standard and certainly wont be recommending to anyone

There are new rooms and old rooms. Staff have obviously left the old rooms for dead as ours was filthy, stains on carpet, bed was falling apart. Make sure you get one of the new rooms.

Nice location with friendly staff and facilities, my only criticism is the bathrooms were a bit dated, apart from that I would and probably will stay again.

An excellent hotel to stay a night or two while traveling around the UK. Rooms and hotel were very clean with excellent service.

The family room here is epic! When we areived all extra beds were made up and travel cot. This is our 2nd visit and we will always pick the hotel when staying in Yorkshire

I was not happy with my stay at this hotel. On check in I was asked to pre-authorise my debit card, when I enquired why I was told it is a deposit and the money is held against the card and no money will be taken from the card. This is a LIE!!! I had £60 deducted from my card and was informed that it will not be back into my account until Wednesday bearing in mind I check out on Sunday. I find this practise underhand and as I was am on a tight budget this has left me in a position where I can't cover my direct debits on Monday. The cleanliness of the room was ok, tea bags were limited ti 2 and I had to request more which was done. Apart from the deposit issue this stay overall was fine. Not the best hotel I've stayed in and by far not the worst, decent value for money.

Outdated hotel, none of the photos online are a true reflection of the small rooms with decor from the 70s. The gym was terrible, not fit for purpose.
