Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Defiance by IHG

no disappointments with cleanliness, comfort, service... Even though they're in the midst of some remodeling

All in all, the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, the food was good, and the indoor pool was warm. The downside was lack of cleanliness in the restrooms and corners of the room. It makes a person really cringe to look at a stranger's hairs in the bathroom corners and shower.

The room was comfortable. However, the shower was filthy and there was someone’s hair all over the walls. The next day they did not clean our room. When it was brought to their attention they lied and reported it was due us posting a do not disturb note. This wasn’t true and very rude. We expected that they would accept responsibility not try to blame us.

Our restroom had private hair in the shower and on the floor. Could see it plain as day. Which made us then catious of everything.

Room was very nice, but not as "accessible" as it should have been. There was no grab bar by the toilet. We asked about this, as I was afraid we had been put in the wrong room. We found out that we were in the accessible room, but when the room was remodeled, the new vanity didn't allow for grab bars. I was unable to close the bathroom door while in my wheelchair. The shower only had one small grab bar, too far from the locked-in soap dispensers. I felt like the accessible room was designed without consulting an actual handicapped person. The front desk staff people were very nice and listened to my concerns, there was just nothing they could do about it.

Amazing with the remodeling..

Lot of dining areas near by.. Desk staff very friendly.. I did speak with (I believe a manager at desk ) re: a few issues with bathroom area and bfst. Would be nice if chair in room had foot stool. All in all a nice place!

Updates look nice!

The only detrimental thing i have is that the exhaust in the bathroom (general exhaust) was not functioning. And if it wasnt working in my room 302, then it effected other rooms as it is a general exhaust

Went to visit son at college. The property has undergone a recent remodel and looks excellent. The staff is very friendly.
