Lovely hotel. Here for first aid training for work. The staff are very welcoming the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean Lots of choices for breakfast even the evening menu has lots on. Would definitely recommend this hotel great get away

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Room decor makes it look a bit like a care home. Noisy as doors slam shut.

Stayed here Saturday 22nd Feb Family and friends stayed here from the midlands area, To go to a 70th Birthday party, in Derby, and was recommended By The party holder to stay here. Well what a surprise we all had ( around 20 stayed here ) Greeted by friendly staff from, reception, restaurant, and Bar staff, nothing was to much trouble, our party was ordering different foods, and drinks, not at the same time, nothing Overwhelmed the small amount of staff on duty that afternoon Came back after party around 12.30 am Just 2 staff on ( I did get their names from reception the next morning but lost paper ) sure hotel would know who they were They was probably ready to go home, but No, gave us first class service with a smile, Thank you both Breakfast produce, and layout, very good, wasn’t going to have anything, but changed my mind, again morning staff good, We have already planning a get together later on in the year And will travel up to here for same hotel, and venue When I was younger in a sales career, stayed in many hotels, Holiday Inn, may not be a 5 star but the staff make this hotel one. ( all rooms were Also very clean ) Thanks to you all for your hard work, we did appreciate it

Room was clean and well appointed. Nice shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with decent choice and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very accessible right off the M1 with lots of free parking for guests. Excellent value for the price.

All as expected.

Took a wrong turn today on way to visit sick daughter and car was running out of power - called in here and asked if I could use the chargers - in was in a shaky upset state and the lovely woman behind the bar offered me wash room and even gave me a huge with my coffee. I didn't use any of the other facilities but from my experience today the staff are fantastic x

We stayed for New Year’s Eve as we attended the gala. We chose this hotel as we found the hotel and event amazing last year. The rooms were clean and spacious and the bed was comfy. There were no issues with the room and we were able to get the room nice and cold. The gala night was great again with good food and entertainment and the staff were polite and helpful. The only downside of the stay was that when we asked about a room upgrade we were told that there was no availability when a number of rooms were available to book online. I understand that not every hotel will give upgrades and if they explain that’s the policy then that’s okay. To say that there wasn’t availability when there was just felt like we were being lied to which didn’t feel like a positive customer experience. And it wasn’t what we experienced on our precious visit to this hotel.

Tiny rooms. Comfy bed. Not very warm - despite turning the temp up, the room never got warmer. TV aerial poor, and spent most of the time scrambled or with no sounds. Not up to usual Holiday Inn standards - I use these hotels frequently for work travel
