Holiday Inn Derby Nottingham M1 J25 by IHG

Awful Hotel, attended corporate training for a day (making me a customer of the hotel), then issued a £100 parking fine from ParkingEye. Spoke to the hotel by getting through to the parking fine number hoping to have a civil conversation about it and was eventually hung up on after being rudely spoken to by the person on the other end of the phone. I asked them to spell their name so I could escalate to IHG customer care as I was struggling to understand due to a bad phone line and their strong accent and apparently that was enough to end the call! Will be ensuring my team never use this hotel for training or events again, awful.

Very poor hotel, bed very bad quality, very cold room (heating is not working). But worth: They have taken a pre-deposit from 4th of Nov and till today, despite several reminders, they never cancel this pre-deposit. I am sure I will never stay there again

Affordable stay for a concert night in Nottingham. Comfortable, clean and well priced. Near good public transport connections for the two nearby cities.

Good cost and convenient location

The hotel is conveniently situated close to junction 25 of the M1. It is quite basic - a bit like a motel really. There were 3 of us in the room so we used the double bed and sofa bed. The room was cold, the sofa bed was uncomfortable (you could feel the springs) and the bathroom was very small. Breakfast, however, was very good. There was plenty of hot and cold food, cereals, fresh fruit, smoothies, fresh bread, etc. Service was also very friendly.

Despite the proximity to the M1 the hotel was quiet and comfortable The water was really hot- even on the lower setting

Nice but found a clump of hair on the shower wall - the cleaning inspector needs to drill the cleaner.
