Location, the grounds were stunning. Staff were friendly. Our dog was allowed. Outdoor pool was stunning but the cost was over the top. Food was reasonably good. Orangery, sit outs were good.

The room quality was quite poor. My son’s room was very dirty, stains on the WC, bath tub, stains on the sofa bed, cobwebs, muck everywhere. Not at all the standards we expected from a hall of this size and repute.

Some of the staff where nice

Our room didn’t lock and when we got a replacement it had hair in the bed: both rooms having below average mattresses and got horrible customer service from one of the managers, an Asian man who was witnessed to throw abuse to the receptionist. The food served in the restaurants was okay, but the service was lacking

Me and my boyfriend visited Shrigley Hall as a staycation for 2 nights and we have to say we were blown away. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who kindly upgraded our room for us and we had a gorgeous room overlooking the golf course and the Manchester skyline. That evening we also went for a 10/10 dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was absolutely exceptional and was topped off at the end when we were pleasantly surprised that you get a discount on food if you’re staying in the hotel, bill was meant to be over £100 but was brought right down. We then ended the evening with some delicious cocktails in the courtyard bar with such lovely staff members! The following day we had the spa booked and safe to say we made the most of our time. We also ate in the spa cafe which was expensive but worth it! Probably one of the best spa breaks we have been on and will 100% be returning!
