Everything this hotel said it would offer, was. Very happy.

Celebrated our golden wedding anniversary here. A favourite place of ours. Staff always warm and welcoming and so accommodating. We stayed in Lord Nelson room in the Manor ( A pleasant and welcomed surprise upgrade). The room was clean, and well kept. Dined at Cloisters restaurant on both nights - Food choice was limiting and okay, Buffet Breakfast is plentiful and well stocked with choices.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here thanks to the very helpful and friendly staff. As we had plans in the town centre we didn’t get to enjoy lunch or dinner here but the menus looked great, including room service. We did have breakfast at the hotel and there was so much choice plus great quality ingredients. The room was stunning and we appreciated being provided with face cloths, iron and ironing board, lots of towels, shampoo and conditioner both in the shower and in separate bath. They really have thought of everything you need so it’s in your room and you don’t have to call reception to ask. The ladies on reception who checked us in on Friday afternoon were a real credit to the hotel, as was the lady on breakfast Sunday morning who helped us prepare a takeaway as we needed to get home early.

Hand picked are such a wonderful chain, we've never had a bad stay. Great food, incredibly friendly and attentive staff and lovely room. Let's hope they never change. This hotel is huge and well equipped, the rooms are big and comfortable with working air conditioning. The dinner and breakfast is delicious with first class service. We had a wonderful stay.

Lovely stay, greeted at reception with a great check in lots of information for us was offered by the very friendly reception staff. Room was accommodated in the modern block but not dissappointed as very light and roomy. Great coffee machine with fresh milk in the fridge along with water. Nice bathroom

we stayed in early august 2025 and all generally good, especially the breakfast. Except for the overpricing of meals and drinks.

Just back from a lovely 3 night stay at this hotel 2nd visit first one 8 years ago stayed in the court part of the hotel this time nice superior room double bed spacious comfy coffee machine fridge tea biscuits milk extras and water all available. Just a slight gripe that the room was not available at 5pm when we arrived on a sat being a long journey you’d expect it to be ready ? However our room was upgraded so that was an acceptable apology. The room was very clean and comfortable view was nice too. Breakfast inc in our stay full English buffet the usual pastries cereals and muffins water juices all buffet style or you can choose from a small menu to order from coffee/tea available on request staff all very friendly and helpful. Was dissatisfied that the restaurant Cloisters was no longer available to book to guests ? We was very disappointed as we remembered it being so lovely on our first visit as the hotel is a short distance from the centre it’s a shame that you cannot enjoy a nice meal in the restaurant I do hope the management decide that this is a mistake and would realise that this hotel does need a restaurant for its guests to enjoy when you spend a lot of money to stay here and not bring in the centre of Bath.

Staff very friendly & helpful great location. Parking & grounds are lovely. Great room size we stayed in the annex very large & comfortable bed
