Zwembad beetje verouderd. Restaurant was niet top vond ik. Ontbijt was lekker maar heb toch liever een buffet ‘d morgens

We were given a recently remodeled room and it was comfortable, quiet and efficient retreat for our 4 night stay over Easter. The spa was a perfect distraction, several exercise machines and well functioning sauna. Our meals were inventive and for the most pare delicious.

I was disappointed with my overcooked halibut meal, a beautiful piece of fish, but cooked until it was tough and chewy. The cod was cooked perfectly so maybe it was just overlooked.

Breakfast was awesome.

Unfortunately our facial was not very good at all We both left with face mask still on having not been taken off I was asked to open a bottle mid facial All quit clumsy and not relaxing

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Danesfield House. Reading previous reviews we were unsure what to expect. However it was one of the most memorable mini breaks my husband and I have experienced. The deluxe room was beautiful with stunning views over the gardens and The Thames. We slept so well. It was so quiet and nice and warm. The shower so powerful. The amenities in the room were sophisticated and of good quality. The gardens and grounds are impeccably maintained and we even woke to several deer grazing on the lawn this morning. We had dinner each night at the hotel and the portions were huge! We could not even manage a dessert. Breakfast was very good as well with lots of choices. We visited the Spa for a relaxing afternoon. All the staff we met were delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel and we will be back!

I visited the spa last week with a friend, and was dismayed to find that it has not been updated in years. The steam room was tired and smelt unpleasant, and the sauna very dated. On a positive note, the pool was OK, and not too busy. I found the staff of the spa reception unfriendly and inattentive, and it was very expensive for the experience. There are much better spas, with much more modern and pleasant facilities, and more helpful staff. The food choice for lunch was limited and not fitting for a spa and quite unhealthy! Overall, a very disappointing experience with rude, inattentive staff. The poolside staff were helpful though.

We have stayed here before and love the history and the setting

We upgraded to a superior room, Miles on reception checked in to make sure all was ok and it was at first , however the jacuzzi bath wasn’t working and I couldn’t wash my hair as the shower head was faulty . The lift is out of service and the jacuzzi in the gym. Miles changed our room but it was cold in there and so we had a 3rd room to stay in. It didn’t feel like the same standard of hotel that we stayed in 4 years ago. Miles did everything he could to make our stay comfortable and went to great lengths to do this . If you do stay, I would recommend a superior room, the comfort room is basic .
