The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa

Beautiful hotel! A lot of amenities on site to enjoy. Laura at the spa helped to make it the most welcome experience! The shuttle to Stratton Ridge was a great perk while we were there on the weekend!!

Rooms and shower water were a little chilly, but they did have a space heater set up for us on arrival to help. It’s an old hotel and we were there at a pretty cold time with negative temperatures

The Equinox exudes old world charm and character. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was clean. The bedroom views were wonderful and the bed comfortable. The tavern and spa facilities were fantastic. The location is close to town.

One minor detail was the thermostat in the room was not working, but was quickly fixed upon notification and a space heater was provided until the room was comfortable.

I would not recommend this resort. For the price, the rooms were incredibly dated and we found bugs in our room. Both nights there , late into the evening children were running around screaming. Not a pleasant way to spend a weekend.

What a disappointment for the money. The room was very dated and there were moths and bugs. Upon arrival the girl at the desk told us to pull in the back parking lot and to enter through the back to get to the elevator. She did not tell us that there was someone up front who would of brought our luggage to our room , nor did she tell us that we had to lug our baggage up several staircases to get to the elevator. On top of that, although our room was in the 400’s, it was on the third floor. The parking lot and sidewalks were not cleared when we arrived on Saturday and not much better when we went to dinner that night. Although it’s not entirely the hotels fault, there were children running, yelling and pushing at all hours of the night through the sitting areas. If they are going to make it a “family” resort, perhaps they should have areas for the kids and quiet hour rules. Pets are allowed and not only did a dog jump on the furniture, she knocked my drink over. What I had experienced as a guest years ago was not what I experienced this past weekend.

Absolutely awful and, more importantly, unsafe. When we arrived, there was no heat in half of the hotel; one of the guests in my party was told this was related to their sprinkler system having an issue. When we complained that the heat was not working in our room, they brought us 2 space heaters. The heaters quickly blew the fuse to the room, and so we were left with one space heater. My husband and I could not sleep the first night because we were so concerned that the hotel was going to burn down between the broken sprinkler system and the use of space heaters! A few nights later, we received a call that we needed to pack up our room and move because our bathroom was leaking into the bathroom below ours so significantly that we were at risk of our floor caving in. Also, the grounds were icy and not shoveled- my husband and son both fell. I could go on about other issues such as lack of staff, lack of clean towels, expired elevator inspections, broken air mattresses, barking dogs, unfriendly waitstaff, etc, but honestly the safety issue is what motivated me to write this review in the first place. This hotel is going to be the site of a tragedy soon- avoid at all costs

The food itself was good, but the service was aweful. Some staff were literally nasty. We waited at lest 45 minutes for our breakfast. Staff really not friendly, nobody talks to you, makes simple conversation. We will not frequent the Equinox again.

The library was freezing, we had to ask Engineering to cut off the blower, which was blowing cold air into the room. We HAD TO ASK for engineering to make a fire in the fireplace. It was 3o degrees outside and no fireplaces going. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. Cleaning staff left their dirty carts in our hallways, which does not look nice when you are arriving to your room. A lot of improvements need to be made to this lovely hotel. Staff is essential to your success. I hope you will hire more professional and kind people.

I liked the room and grounds

The room was never cleaned or the beds made while we were there. Also no ice machine on each floor. I had to go a long way to get ice at the bar. There should be a list of how to get wifi, ice, where to eat. Etc.

Beautiful property, nice mountain views. Kids of age 13 and 7 never got bored. They always had something to do - pool, biking, tennis, hiking, smores, live music, lawn games. The town has great restaurants. The hotel has printed out all activities, places to visit, restaurants, events - very well done.

Only one small feedback I would give is that the daily housekeeping could do a better job - seemed like they did not vacuum or cleaned the floors. Apart from that its a great destination and a great stay!

The location is great, I have traveled to Manchester many times in the past but not in the last 12 years. This property was once the crown jewel in town but has lost it's luster

The hotel is run down, when you enter the lobby you are greeted with a stale smell that is unpleasant. The staff was less than impressive. When I asked for help making dinner reservations at the top resturaunt in town, I was told I wouldn't need them, just show up. That turned about to be wrong.
