Emerald Beach Resort

Do not stay here!! While it is an inexpensive resort, we ended up spending around $100-$200 a day for a family of 6 to get taxis. Stay somewhere closer to red hook for 500/600 a night and you will be closer to the general population of people staying in st thomas. And save money!! I stayed at Emerald beach for 4 nights. The rooms were clean (hence why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1) and the AC was fantastic. Beware that the beach at Emerald is a public beach, with multiple cruise ships docking for the day and coming to Emerald Beach. There are vendors trying to get your attention to buy things constantly. And they will scam you. The food was terrible. I ate there about 3 times and each time I got horrible stomach cramps, and ended up throwing up after my last meal. I saw 2 cockroaches on 2 different occasions in the bar/restaurant area. They don’t allow you to charge to the room here, so it was a pain bringing my wallet around. Also nerve wracking with all of the people coming in from who knows where to hangout on Emerald Beach. Long story short- this hotel is inexpensive but not worth it- stay somewhere else for the extra $100/200 a night. You will be so happy you did.

Great beach and close to the airport. Good drinks and food. Close enough to the airport you could walk if you wanted to. Close to the ferry dock but will need a taxi for that.

This hotel was worth the stay just with the views alone. It was an amazing place a little old but still very nice and I have no real complaints. I would stay again if I came back for the beach alone.

We had ants in the bathroom. We had issues with the shower( hot water). Most of the staff for the motel were very friendly. The only one we had an issue with was at the end of the trip. She seemed to have a very bad attitude. Very snippy and unpleasant. Just like she didn’t want to be there. Very short. Charged us an outrageous fee for having to throw out bed sheets. I have never had to pay for replacement sheets. No matter what the reason was.

I really enjoyed our stay here. We needed a place by the airport,. I know this was an older place, but it was well maintained, very clean, the staff was incredibly nice.
