Location is excellent

There was a GCSE or A Level prom taking place which made the bar area pretty much out of bounds because it was spilling out into there-felt a little more like a school disco than a hotel. The customer service was dreadful-we had a problem with a very noisy fan in the bathroom which wouldn't turn off. It took the staff over an hour, and two visits to the room to prove it was noisy, five phone calls down to reception (they didn't answer the phone once) and three trips back to reception to finally get into a new room at 11.15pm at night. Be wary of complaining afterwards, you just get fobbed off with reward points which will never get you anything but will ultimately force you to spend more money. I'd avoid this hotel if you're looking for a nice city centre stay. For the money, there are much nicer hotels, with better service, in the area. We chose this because of the pool but even that wasn't that great. The facilities are all looking pretty tired but mostly bad customer service.
