Harbor Shores on Lake Geneva

Excellent location and friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful view of the lake.

We often visit Lake Geneva for several events such as The Women's Weekend, Oktoberfest and we now just experienced the Winterfest. The location of Harbor Shores is right across from the lake, which gives beautiful views of the park and piers. It is within a block or so walking distance of Main Street, where you can find all of the shops and restaurants. The rooms are always clean and the front desk is always friendly, especially the area where you can help yourself to free coffee and enjoy it on the couch by the fireplace.

We came up to Lake Geneva with another couple for the snow and ice sculptures during Winterfest. The front desk women were so friendly and helpful and pointed out that they had complimentary hot chocolate and apple cider. The room was clean and thoughtfully laid out. Nice big area to put suitcases and miscellaneous items, the wet bar area with microwave, sink and refrigerator came in handy. The beds and chairs were very comfortable. We had a lakeside room, so fun to see some of the snow sculptures being worked on from our balcony, watching the ice fishermen doing whatever they do and watching the hovercrafts being delivered to the lake, all very entertaining. Great location and is perfect for walking to the snow sculptures, just kiddie corner from the hotel. The hotel is extremely close and easy to walk to shopping and dinner in the downtown area. It will be nice when the on-site restaurant is finished to grab a bagel in the morning or an appetizer at night. Would definitely come back. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Location is great and hotel is very nice! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay here again hopefully next time in the Summer!

I've been staying at Harbor Shores for many years as part of their partnership with Creative Memories Scrapbook Retreats. The hotel is always very clean and new, constantly changing decor and amenities over the years. Have been on all the floors in mostly double queen rooms and primarily focused on those events and not too many other amenities as a regularly staying patron would. I have known ladies who have used the pool and hot tub regularly and find it good. Front desk is helpful and courteous. There's a nightly security guard as this hotel like others has 2 public entrances open 24/7. I have felt safe and secure every time. Here are my only dislikes: the bedframes are way too big for a 2Q bedroom and I constantly whack into every one of the corners multiple times. It is just wrong for the space. The fridges are a nice touch, but they have never been able to consistently cool things, only freezes them. No matter the gauge. The adjoining restaurant, though super convenient and somewhat tasty, having the hotel patrons using the ballroom upstairs - the only available bathroom to use is at the restaurant. a 2 seater for 50+ women for approximately 36 hours in 3 days. Not to mention the smell of pizza everywhere. But, the biggest set back for not giving Harbor shores higher marks is the parking. One parking pass per room. And the front parking is for restaurant guests. I have no idea how you can accomodate a wedding in your ballroom with such horrible, limited parking. I know you supervise the lot well, and it is always available for us who have the parking passes, but even for daily parking and not overnight, it is absurd that you cannot park where your event is being held. Over the years we have done some pretty busy rearranging and car manuevering to all be able to participate and stay at HS - paying our full prices for rooms, services, food, etc. 4 x the people in a room and only 1 car. It is not very hospitable. Especially when there's a full parking lot directly behind them for a park that is not in use in the winter. Try harder that way. I will be back this season and have already trying to figure out getting there and the parking, and bringing a cooler since the fridge is a disaster.
