St Giles Heathrow Hotel

It’s cheap for a reason. Room and bathroom, although very clean, stank of disinfectant cleaner - I felt I was sleeping in a hospital - the ‘climate control’ was broken, and worst of all, the edge of the worn mattress had a broken piece of metal sticking up through the frayed fabric. (See photos). It’s impossible that housekeeping didn’t know about this. I caught my leg on it, luckily with no injury. This was late at night so there was no opportunity to get the room changed. Had to pad it with a folded towel for safety. I reported it to reception in the morning but no apology or redress was offered. I left soon after so have no idea whether anybody inspected the room. In addition - my confirmatory email clearly stated ‘room service’ - on arrival I was told this was not offered. Continental breakfast was average, at £8.

Good value, clean and has parking! My room had recently been refurbed and had everything I needed for a business night away.

Cheap and cheerful

We stayed with my sister and her 2 little girls for 3 night it was very nice a warm welcome from everyone. The staff very friendly and helpful. Hôtel it’s just 5min walk from Feltham station which was very convenient as we wanted to visited London also very close to Heathrow 15 min by 285 bus. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. We had a family room which was very big clean and the children had them own space. Thank you everyone for making our stay enjoyable.

Close to the railway station and Heathrow airport. Very nice room, good service.

Hotel is convenient for Feltham station - pretty basic place with thin blanket and small TV but it's clean enough. Restaurant downstairs is very good - tried a few different dishes and all very good.8 GBP per night for parking...

Stayed here for a night after Kempton Park races. Friendly welcome, a coach party arrived just before us and the receptionist was obviously busy, but she apologised for our (fairly short) wait and gave us an upgrade which we thought was very good. The room was clean and comfortable, nice facilities - enough tea, sugar and milk for once - many hotels fall short on this. We ate in the Il Grasso restaurant. Very good value food, nicely cooked, I had the sea bass - the tiramisu lovely. The head waiter was very friendly. Breakfast was ok, could have been a bit more on offer, perhaps some more fruit and pastries, but cooked food fine. Overall not bad, especially at the price.

The hotel is fine, I have stayed there before on a couple of occasions and really slept well. However, this time, I must have been on the other side of the hotel as I was kept awake until relatively late by the trains passing by and was awoken at about 5am again by the trains as my room directly overlooked the train tracks.....

Our room was comfortable and quiet, with the normal facilities you would expect. There was nowhere we fancied in the local area, so we had dinner in the hotel restaurant. There was a good selection on the menu and the food was reasonably well cooked, but the chef was in a foul mood and spent pretty much the whole meal shouting, mainly at one waitress who was doing her best to wait on tables, run the bar and also the restaurant reception. For much of the time she was on her own, despite other staff being around. The chaotic atmosphere in the restaurant was disturbing and the lack of organisation meant some diners had to wait a long time for attention.
